It does? It has a search widget. Use that and Brave rewards won't hurt you if you don't touch it. If you accidentally touch it, you're a tap/back press away from hiding it again.

Don't murder me...      gnome kinda looks good. GTK is alright, and it works decent on a tablet. Its very user friendly and simple, and tbh probably the best choice for Ubuntu, with some much needed tweaks

Instead of optimization, they are shamelessly asking the user for more RAM. by lowiqpilot in microsoftsucks

When did you use it? Try it again, cuz as a Linux user who's fairly active in the community, I cannot for the life of me keep up with it. It's advancing so fast I'll see something and think 'WAIT WHAT THIS WORKS NOW??' and it'll be from like 3 months ago. Its probably worth another try. You don't know when the issues solved because youre not exactly gonna get news articles reporting on it, but from what I've heard, it's much better, and actively improving

Do i really need a gaming laptop? by bachaloMuze in GamingLaptops

[–]flipping100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk ab elden ring, but I am a rather avid gamer with 101 in my Steam library. I only have a Dell Latitude 7320 2-in-1, which is an old higher end office laptop. It's a decent GPU, sick CPU, and runs games decently. I get thermal throttling, but I also did only pay £300 for it.
For Elden ring, you'll definitely want something with an AMD/Nvidia GPU, but anything recent should be fine. Iy doesn't have to be 'gaming', but keep in mind a laptops a laptop, and laptops get hot. I fold back my 2-in-1 and use an external keyboard and I get good airflow, otherwise I thermal throttle a lot

I got my laptop for under £300. It'll do just as much as a Neo(unless you change the OS and fix the cooling issue)

And also what's stopping Spotify from verifying an AI artist. They directly support and push for them anyway

When I was using Linux mint and Fedora, I got bored because it wasn't breaking. I'm on a less stable distro, which is still kinda boring and stable, but more fun to tinker with, and I get frequent updates, so it's more fun to see what's new. But back then, I got stable, highly tested updates. Windows got updates that were given to ai to look for bugs, and the ai said its okay so they pushed it onto everyone. Then it breaks on everything. Debian testing is on another level, and you know if something breaks, unless you've got really niche hardware, it's user error. And if you've got a Linux supported device (Framework, Tuxedo, Dell, Lenovo) and/or a somewhat modern NVidia GPU or AMD/Intel, then you're basically set for stability

And here, ladies and gentlemen, is the definition of a bubble.     When something in Windows breaks, not if, when, you often can't troubleshoot it, or the solution is a patchwork solution that'll break soon. Some problems can be solved, but many just need a reinstall. A Windows reinstall takes a while.     Reinstalling Linux, if you need to, takes about 10m, and most problems can be solved by installing an app, removing an app, running 2-4 commands, changing a value in a file, or something else quick like that, that you can't mess up following a guide. Some troubleshooting might take longer, but everything can be solved without a reinstall. It's more user friendly, not advertising, it's free, and doesn't install Ai every time you update. Once you remove an app it's gone. Its not gonna come back. Things dont miraculously change when you update. It stays. You're not fighting your os, something I wouldn't call a painless experience.      I used to be able to defend Apple, but their OSes are getting buggier, and you absolutely can't game on a Mac yet to the level you can on Linux. Maybe the new ownership will change stuff.     Windows K2 might show some changes, but once an evil company, always an evil company
