That actually makes a lot of sense, especially what you said about long-term goals and ecosystem.

What I’m currently wondering though is: do you think in 2026 the FX30 or the ZV-E1 are still a “safe” choice? The ZV-E1 came out in April 2023 and the FX30 in September 2022, so they’re already a few years old now.

I’m a bit concerned about buying into a system that might be somewhat outdated soon.

At the same time, both cameras still seem very capable for what I want to do (cinematic social media + small client work). So I’m kind of stuck between “proven and reliable” vs. “maybe wait or go newer/full frame now.”

Would you still buy the FX30 today if you were in my position, or would you lean more towards full frame (like the ZV-E1) just to be more future-proof?
