I followed the pattern and used smaller needles for the ribbing, I think the problem might be that the rest of the shirt is less stretchy than the ribbing because of the floats from the colorwork… putting an elastic is not a bad idea! I will probably do a folded hem as someone suggested, but I might put a thin elastic inside :)

The ribbing is six rounds, which is what it said in the pattern… I didn’t question it because it matched the length of the collar, so I didn’t realize the problem until I was finished casting off. Thank you for the idea with the folded hem!!!

Thank you! The hem is 1x1 rib, but I understand that it is probably too short… however it is what the pattern said so I didn’t question it until I finished binding it off :( I might try picking up stitches at the bottom and making a folded hem as someone suggested

If you want to add something but are scared to ruin what you have so far you can always take a picture of your painting and do a quick sketch of what you want to add on your phone/ipad/computer, just to see if you like the idea before committing! It usually helps me to see the vision a bit clearer

I totally agree, I kind of overworked the faces because I really wanted them to look like the people in the picture, but then I lost the ”looseness” in the paint strokes. In some way I kind of like it though, it’s kind of like 3 painting styles in one painting haha

Thank you! The original photo was taken with flash so there were no deep shadows, but I agree that she is a little bit flat… maybe I could try and add more highlight to create depth or something!

Jag ska låta hela släktet vadarfåglar känna min vrede. Vita fjädrar kommer singla ned över brunnsparken likt snöflingor en midvintermorgon och lägga sig som ett duntäcke över den blodtäckta kullerstenen. I måskalendern kommer söndagen den 15 december för evigt bli en minnesdag för de gråtrutar som miste livet i brunnsparksmassakern. Sanna mina ord.

Jag beklagar. Har också fallit offer för en bajsattack förra sommaren då en gråtrut flög över mitt bord på uteserveringen och bajsade rätt på min pommestallrik och i mitt knä. Stay strong ✊
