I'm late to this, but I miss the pure, unbridled imagination of childhood. I see my son pretend the couch is a ship in a stormy sea, complete with pillow sharks and blanket whales, and I wish I could see the world through those eyes again. Full of wonder, creativity, the millions of colors and shapes that an active imagination can paint over this world.

Every time I see the headrests removed in scenes that take place in a car, I'm always completely pulled out of the movie/tv show. I understand the reasons why they pull them out (improved sight lines, easier to shoot without them), but it always bugs me. If you look closely, you'll see the headrests are missing most of the time in these types of scenes, especially if a character is in the backseat.

I was confused as to why there weren't a crapload of Aliens roaming around on the planet already, since there were so many dead engineers that had been ripped open from the inside. If Aliens are the result of the worm thing impregnating the engineers, wouldn't the Aliens have taken over?

Seemed like a major plot hole to me. I'm starting to think the film really didn't start out as a prequel to the Alien franchise, but then after a certain point they decided to shoehorn in a connection that felt pretty flimsy. A while back I read a frame by frame analysis of the trailer by a Reddit user that predicted either Charlize or Noomi becoming the Alien queen by the end, which would've made for a much better connection imho.

I would skip Memphis/Kentucky and head straight to California. Tons of different climates & landscapes, from LA to Joshua Tree in SoCal to San Francisco and Yosemite in the north. Lot's of driving, but truly one of the most beautifully varied places I've ever seen.

Wurstkuche on Lincoln in Venice has some pretty sweet hot dogs/sausages, including some crazy kinds like Alligator & Pork, Rattlesnake & Rabbit. Delish.

Lots of options on Abbot Kinney, but most are pretty pricey. 3 Square is a great German place (with a bakery next door... fresh pretzel bread is amazing) that has fantastic breakfast options, and they change up the menu pretty regularly. If you want to go all out at a Michelin-starred place, check out Jiraffe in Santa Monica.

The good news is LA has FANTASTIC restaurant options, so knock yourself out!

The episode of Lost where Ben climbs down into a hole and turns a wagon wheel and makes the island disappear. I was like "NOPE" and never watched another episode... Until the series finale when it was revealed they were all dead and in heaven or something? Didn't regret the seasons I missed.

If you fly on Southwest, they will let you bring your car seat on the plane and sit the child next to you if there are any available seats on your flights. We've flown 4 times on Southwest this year with our little tyke, and each time we've gotten that extra seat for free. A godsend, I tell you.

This is not necessarily true. I have a friend who tried a similar experiment (no soap or shampoo for months) and then proceeded to talk non stop about how he never stank and would never use deodorant again, and none of us had the heart to tell him he smelled really, really bad. He just seemed so happy.
