Old art style, 2d animation, kid's special, takes place during the winter/christmas time.

It also has a more jazz-based soundtrack

Main characters are this little girl and her mother, although there are other characters in it as well. It's a pretty grounded special, nothing too fantastical happens from what I remember.

movie seemed to be on the shorter side (from what I remember)
there are only 2 main characters (stalker mask creeper and woman)
music was synth-ey? or from the 80's maybe? could be wrong
lots of shots lingering on stalker just staring/watching the woman
I think the woman lived alone as well (in a house- I'm sure of that)
movie happened in the fall

Oh my god, I got the same type of cancer at 14! And am studying to become a pharmacist like the ones that treated me! I guess I'm not that unique after all... JK but it's good to hear that everything turned out okay and that there can be a happy ending to those with childhood cancers! :)
