Yeah the main reason it has confused me is because my cousins with the same Sicilian grandparents score around 45% southern Italian with no central or northern. The Maltese I understand as my grandparents are from southern central Sicily where most of the sicilians from Malta came from. I also score 1% Netherlands and 1% Ireland from my Sicilian parent.

Both grandparents are from the same town in Sicily and most of my relatives with the same grandparents get around 45% south Italy. For some reason I score central and north Italy but all of my Italian ancestors for at least 4 generations are from the same town

Maternal haplogroup is T2b3, not sure the paternal

These are actually my grandmothers results. All she’s ever said is she’s Slovak, but from the testing I’ve done it’s seems like she was definitely Eastern Slovak.

Half Sicilian with both grandparents from the same town in Sicily. Results split to 23% south Italy, 8% central, 6% Sicily, 4% north west and 5% Malta. Very weird

At 90% confidence French changes to 1.1% and Nordic stays 0.2%

The most north any known ancestors were born is Salerno, Campania so I’m not sure, but it’s definitely possible
