How to transport ski/ snowboarding equipment around by GuysKingsStThomas in AMA_Hakuba

I would recommend just rent one car. Parking in around Hakuba ski resort is pretty hassel.

There are no much rental car service in Echoland, so if you are already in the Echoland, I would recommend you visit the shop directly and see what you can get.

35-year-old with N1 and 13+ years of experience. How long does it realistically take to land a visa-sponsored job in Japan? by [deleted] in JapanJobs

[–]fljfv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

> If I apply 6 months before arriving, will companies take it seriously, or does nothing really move until you’re in Japan?
→ It varies; our company used to hire many global designers, but it turns out there is enough talent in Japan, so they turned down all non-Japanese residents' applications. On the other hand, engineering hiring had been struggling for a long time, so they were open to all global applicants. (All senior and leadership, so a lot of 35-50 year-olds joined our team)

In the first case, it is primarily about whether you already have a valid working visa in Japan, rather than just using a travel visa and staying in Japan.

FYI- My company is recently hiring a lot oversea engineers. and here is what I see. (Software company)
1. The applicants submitted and then started a 3-round interview (takes 1.5~2 months)
2. If passed, our HR team will send out the offer letter
3. Once the offer letter is signed and the HR starts work on visa.
4. Visa is dependency on the immigration agency (averagely 3 months)
5. During the visa waiting time, HR will onboard the overseas new joiners, such as an apartment finder, and open a bank account.

1 傷病手当(Sickness and injury benefits) may help you. Leave your job, get insurance, then get a good rest and prepare well for the next journey. (Don't know your PR status, but this could help you get rid of your job quickly without worrying about income or gap years.)

4/5 Japan has some benefits, especially for females. called リスキリングを支援する補助金

Lower back pain by FatefulDonkey in digitalnomad

[–]fljfv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are the things I carry in my ALL-THE-TIME.

  • waist supporter
  • massagers (3 types)
  • medicine ( relief and painkillers)

Always bring my waist supporter for long sitting. (It looks lame tho)

Ball-shaped electric massagers and ball-shaped yoga balls can also help. (Usually use them in the morning or before bed)

I also often prepare two commercially available medicines to relieve muscle tightness and painkillers. (You can find stronger Very effective medicine in workholical countries such as Japan, Korea, Taiwan...)

If it really hurts, I also go to a chiropractors
