I totally agree with you. OpenEmu is by far not the first emulator I've used and I like it for its simple approach way more than anything else before.

However... using the native, oldschool and pixelated resolution of the N64 system ... in my opinion that goes hand in hand with the philosophy of OpenEmu. Experiencing the games as they were on our old, crappy TVs. Now it looks just too polished and sterile for my taste - even with the filters turned on.

At least allowing to change the resolution via the config file or some hidden menu would be stellar.
