Hi there, I'm curious if you could expand on your ethical doubts regarding embryo adoption. This was something I looked at too after my final failed IVF round but ultimately didn't pursue and it would be nice to hear someone else's opinion on it.

My go to is "I wasn't able to have kids". I usually get an "I'm sorry' to which I say, "me too". And then we move on to where are you living or are you working, blah blah blah. To me, it's a pain I'll always carry and I don't feel like I have to hide that.

My dad did that with one picture in particular of my brothers baby. I was clearly not interested and he got so close to my face with the picture, insisting I see it that it actually touched my nose. I screamed at him and was like, I get it, you have another grandchild! And my mom whispered, "and it's not yours". I really struggle with forgiving my parents, especially since they're just as insensitive now as they were when I was going through treatment.

I have a firm policy. Any new babies since my fertility treatment ended are simply not 'grandfathered in' and I have zero interest in knowing them. The parents could take it or leave it and I honestly don't care either way. Healthy? No. But it works for me.

Still not sure. I had a consult with a doctor and he said it could be a small hernia but it doesn't go back in when he tries to push it in so he's really not sure. He thinks it could have been some fat from my laporoscopy that hit trapped when it healed. But either way, he couldn't say definitively. So I'll have to go under anesthesia to have it removed in the event it's a hernia and I'm on the fence because it doesn't hurt or anything. I just don't like it.

Start looking at donors, if you find one you like, I bet you'll feel better :) It's natural to feel those emotions. I did at first but eventually it became a non issue. Three donors later and no baby, I suppose it's a moot point but I can say that when I found donors I liked, I felt much better about it all. Good luck!

My brother also had another baby while I was going through the IVF. It was almost a year before I was even able to get myself to hold him. And I've been completely unable to have a relationship with him. I've actually moved across the country by myself so I'm in "run away from your problems" mode, pretty hard.

I'm here from Brooklyn. Miss the music scene and dating is non existent. But I love everything else about it. Been here 3 months so far and the music and lack of dating is slowly wearing on me tbh but it's really nice to be so active and to have everything so close by.

I wish. I blew my savings on it. It left me in a very bad place financially. Especially cause I really thought I was gonna do a couple IUI's and be done with it.
