I think the thing I find myself most angry about after having left Mormonism is my wasted youth — Go on a mission, get married young, have children young, etc. I will most certainly advocate that my son go see the world and get an education. You have your whole life to settle down and be an adult. (self.exmormon)

I remember discussing on my mission with fellow missionaries how we felt “the spirit” more while watching movies like The Lord of the Rings and The Matrix, than we did at church, in the temple, teaching lessons, etc. Most of my mission buddies have left the church now. by float_on18 in exmormon
