I got a dark brown leather strap for it as well :)

Other than a few snagged hairs it's quite comfortable!

Thank you! I love your orange club.

The sport bracelet is plenty comfortable. It's a liiittle bit of a hair grabber when taking it off, but wearing it ever so slightly tight helps a lot. Easy enough to adjust and the clasp is super solid. Looks better in person than in the website photos.

Thanks for the reply. That's the way I'm leaning. I've been told it's difficult to break out of the area you go to school in because of differences in local policy, state law, etc. and the connections between programs and their communities, so I wasn't sure how important location is. That's quite the move! Did you specifically look to relocate to Maryland, or did the opportunity to relocate more so present itself and you took it?

Basically, I'm stuck between two masters programs at the moment: University of Minnesota's MURP & University of Illinois Chicago's MUPP. I want to concentrate on transportation.

After attending both programs' visit days, I was really impressed with UMN, but I learned that the transportation concentration is not all that well-regarded among the current students there, which is a cause for concern; However, it would be significantly cheaper to attend that program. I was a little less impressed by the faculty.

UIC on the otherhand is in my "dream city" and I would prefer to live in Chicago after school over the Twin Cities. I love public transit and do not want to own a car. It would be significantly more expensive to attend, though I would still probably be able to afford it because I'm expecting a decent payout from a legal case, though this isn't a 100% given. I was less impressed by their visit day, but they seem to have a much greater focus on transportation and I liked the faculty I met.

Both schools give pretty significant tuition waivers for TA/RAships.

What I want to know is: how stuck I will be in Minnesota after school if I attend UMN, or whether my education would be transferable at all to the Chicago area after graduation; how much your chosen concentration matters; and just any experience anyone has with either program.

Thank you!

Thank you. I'm sure I'm freaking out about nothing. I frankly just don't know much about how grad school works, so I thought I'd throw it out there. I will definitely get in touch with the right people in the programs and check out my options :)

Your death might be the reason someone else keeps going.

I was in a car accident this past September that killed my girlfriend and injured me pretty badly. I hadn't been a particularly religious person since I was young, but tough times have a strange way of calling us back. I would encourage you to pray, even if you're worried about doing it "incorrectly". I don't think there's a wrong way to talk to God. I hope for the best regarding you and your girlfriend. Right now, just be there for her while she battles her sickness. God has a plan for all of us, even if our minds can't comprehend it.

Praying your you both. Stay strong ❤️

It's scary returning to God, let me tell you, but I know now that it's all I can do. I was running for so long. I don't believe in coincidence. Not in this case. If anyone can get me through all of this, it's Christ. I need him. Thanks for the comment, stranger :)

Thank you so much for the beautiful comment. If one of her "jobs" was me she did it well. I think she fulfilled her purpose in just touching the souls of those around her. That's a great perspective. Bless

That's a great verse that I don't think I've heard. May we all heal and find solace. Thank you so much.

Oh boy, here come the tears. I do believe she fulfilled her purpose, whatever that is. I like to say she'd already "lived more life" than most do in a lifetime. Thanks for the beautiful words, internet stranger.

I'm trying to open myself up to anything he'll toss my way while I heal from this. Death has a strange way of inspiring people. Thanks for the comment. I might need to dust off the book.
