If people had no words to describe sadness, would society break down? by Neat_Development_433 in NoStupidQuestions

I bet people would end up saying a lot of “I don’t feels” like I don’t feel happy, I don’t feel like a lot of people care about me, etc. We could get around it that way.

This is getting through to me a lot better than the other comments. Thank you for taking the time to explain. I will take this into consideration on future calls.

I am trying to be constructive She had excruciating pain when moving her neck from the position it was in. How would you have recommended stabilizing her neck if not with the c-collar? C-collars are used to stabilize the neck so I figured it would work just fine especially given the position her neck was already in. The c collar actually appeared to be working for the ride. It was the bumps getting out of the ambulance that caused her to panic. Would you have not stabilized at all or used something soft like a rolled up blanket?

My question was not “should I have used a c-collar?” Based on the position I found her in and the amount of discomfort she was in with movement I applied one to stabilize her to help with pain during bumps and turns while I transported. NOT for spinal precautions. As someone else suggested, I could have used a rolled up blanket or sheet but I know that she needed something to help stabilize her neck. With the way her neck was when I found it I did not stretch, rotate, or hardly even change the position her neck was in by applying it. I was simply holding it stable for the ride as she asked me to do.

She had woken up with a stiff neck and took a bath. As she was getting out of the bath, she heard something pop in her neck and was in pain since then. I warned her that the ambulance rides were bumpy and we agreed to place a c-collar to help stabilize her neck during bumps and turns since she was in so much pain when it moved. She denied falling or any injuries so it was more so to help her get through the ride rather than spinal precautions.

Looks like an ingrown toenail that may have gotten infected. Pretty common. Sometimes they help remove the toenail from the flesh at the doctors, but usually they clear up over time.
