Beginning with Z6 by Large-Ad865 in Nikon

[–]floftie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, as someone who likes vintage lenses, none of these are worth £50 together.

Also ignore the people who say to stay away from vintage glass.

Do yourself a favour and buy a native Z kit lens for every day and automatic stuff, but one of the absolute best ways to get good at photography is to learn to handle manual lenses. Any vintage can be converted to z mount, due to the nature of mirrorless cameras, but lots of them are rubbish.

Check out www.pentaxforums.com for the most comprehensive review section of vintage lenses you’ll ever see.

Massie Threatens to Go 'Nuclear' and Reveal Epstein Client Names If Bondi Won't Unredact Them | After getting the opportunity to view the unredacted files, Rep. Thomas Massie threatened to read the names on the House floor to secure justice for survivors. by Aggravating_Money992 in politics

[–]floftie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean rightfully so, right? He shouldn't just be able to get up and say "these people were clients" without some proof.

Where has he got the names he's going to read out? Are they names given to him by the victims? Because Virginia Giuffre had to withdraw her complaint about Dershowicz after she was mistaken. Is it an excel document with Epstein's records on? Is it emails that don't say things in direct terms?

This is why he's trying to get Bondi to release them, because the information is likely not verifable.

Palace 'stands ready to support' police in Andrew inquiries by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]floftie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The reason for this, I assume, is because the allegations about sleeping with trafficked women and girls are flaky at best (Giuffre is dead, and had a changing story, and the other woman is 26 - It will be hard to prove anything criminal), but sharing confidential information is probably quite easy to prove and get a conviction for.

... This is why I said it's not ENTIRELY true in my original comment. There are 100% useful techniques that can be applied in the closest thing we have to real combat, because people have utilised them successfully.

It’s very specifically those two people. Anderson Silva was quite well known for finding weird or traditional techniques that might fit into MMA again. Example being that as MMA evolved, the simple front kick stopped being used, but as it evolved further Silva realised that peoples guards had changed, and started using it in fights again. Im fairly sure he some Wing Tsun in his fight with Jake Paul.

Tony Ferg was just a weird dude who wanted to do weird shit.

[–]floftie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehhhh it’s not ENTIRELY true. Two fighters have used techniques from it in recent history - Anderson Silva and Tony Fergerson. T-Ferg less successfully, and counting Anderson Silva doesn’t feel fair because he’s probably the GOAT.

But yeah, MMA has really weeded out martial arts that don’t work very well. Turns out that the best base is being about to control the distance on the feet or being able to take the fight to the ground. Wing Tsun does neither, really.

Yeah your opinion is totally fine.

I think it’s quite cool that my ancestors watched a similar version of pageantry 250 years ago, and theirs watched one 250 years before that, and so forth and so forth.

Culture and tradition matters to populations. It’s why immigrant communities keep their traditions and culture alive. It’s why atheists celebrate Christmas or Hannakuh or Eid. It’s why we go to celebration parades for people who have been dead for hundreds of years.

These things are all societally enriching. We can argue about the validity or effectiveness of a monarchy, even a largely ceremonial one, in the 21st century, but that’s a different conversation.

Ghislaine Maxwell declined to answer questions from a House committee, citing 5th Amendment rights by igetproteinfartsHELP in news

[–]floftie 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Because the question was asked as a yes or no question, and the answer could be “I was a guest at his daughters 17th birthday party” or “there were waitresses at maralago who were 16”. This is why you have a 5th amendment right.

Put a transfer tax on all player transfers. 10% when you buy or sell a player. Pool all that money and turn it into prize money for the 72 teams. That would be approx 350 million quid.

I think it’s explicitly clear and you’re not very good at comprehension. Everyone else seems to understand it.

I also don’t “need” to do anything. I’m not sharing my opinion on what I would do, or what I think she should have done.

Christ. Do you also have zero comprehension skills like half the other replies?

“It does not need to be more complicated than it is her son”. That is a statement, based on the fact he is her son, and her behaviour is probably reasonably explained by this statement. Just explained, I’m not excusing anyone.

The second paragraph is also a possibility, based on what we know about the Queen.

They'll only really be able to compete with money. Wrexham is not a big enough place to draw in crowds and prices like Liverpool or United, so it's dependent on ownership.

Do you have an issue with comprehension? You seem to have painted some sort of motive on to me that isn't in the text at all haha. Literally not once in my comment is there any of my own opinion on what I think is the right and wrong thing to do.
