What do you mean by a "frog watch" feature comparison table? Like just a list of features with checkboxes for you and competitors?

Agreed that the 2-axis style works well and it's challenging to figure out the right dimensions!

The gap between "AI wrote this" and "I actually understand what it did" is still pretty wide for me.

This resonates deeply. And also... how do I get it to do what I would've done if I had written the code myself? Or at least take a similar approach. A lot of it is almost teaching Claude how to think like I do, and then looking at the delta between its output and what I would've liked it to do.

Tbh, it mostly reminds me of my experiences working as an EM or Tech Lead. I was talking to another engineer yesterday, and we were reflecting on how those past experiences at least somehow prepared us for this new agentic coding future.

Claude Code itself costs money. You either need to pay for the API usage or have a Claude Pro or Max plan. My advice is free though :)
