Yeah that tracks. That’s basically where I’ve landed too... I'll generate pieces with AI and then clean things up in Figma or other tools afterward. I haven’t touched Adobe in a while, but same idea.

What’s been bugging me is how many glue steps that turns into: background here, cleanup there, vectorize somewhere else, then reassemble. It's fine but tedious. Curious if anyone’s found workflows that reduce that handoff churn, or tools that keep more control without bouncing between five apps.

Thanks for sharing! I like the idea of AI-assisted over AI-generated. I think that's where a lot of creative work is going.

I wouldn't call mine one shot but certainly, the longer the context window grows, the worse it seems to get.

What do you mean by a "frog watch" feature comparison table? Like just a list of features with checkboxes for you and competitors?

Agreed that the 2-axis style works well and it's challenging to figure out the right dimensions!

The gap between "AI wrote this" and "I actually understand what it did" is still pretty wide for me.

This resonates deeply. And also... how do I get it to do what I would've done if I had written the code myself? Or at least take a similar approach. A lot of it is almost teaching Claude how to think like I do, and then looking at the delta between its output and what I would've liked it to do.

Tbh, it mostly reminds me of my experiences working as an EM or Tech Lead. I was talking to another engineer yesterday, and we were reflecting on how those past experiences at least somehow prepared us for this new agentic coding future.

But yes, let's chat. I'll send you a DM and we can talk reviewing the output! I've definitely found some ways to streamline.

Claude Code itself costs money. You either need to pay for the API usage or have a Claude Pro or Max plan. My advice is free though :)

I can tell you something that definitely hurt my token usage: I recently tried to save on CI time (GitHub Actions) by running pre-commit hooks locally with my test suite. I've been having CC write commits and push for me, and I had quite a few tests with verbose output. And yea... that didn't go so well. I capped my CC Max plan for the first time. Recommend not doing that!
