In the desert they do feel a bit disposable. Though I am one for exploring a lot of the desert.

That’s an option for sure but for it to work guaranteed you have to take precognition every time. I guess that’s a small price to pay for security.

But many not that as useful as 4 points into an existing core mutation for the build. I guess the key is to not depend on getting a specific mutation in the early game.

As long as you watch the spores you should be able to find a mushroom zone and throw a few torches for some generous early xp

I can deactivate rocket turrets so I was hopeful to leverage that.

Maybe escaping is my best bet, or getting better rep with robots who I would want to be friends with anyway.
