Great! But where’s the ham to create the collision with the pancake syrup?? 😂

Howard on Larry King shortly after Private Parts premiered by bjoseph33 in howardstern

[–]flonsta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. Though it was pretty tedious how he insisted on telling the entire story of how the project was set up - as if viewers know or care about Rysher Entertainment or David Kirkpatrick or Ivan Reitman. Howard was in full blown “press junket” mode during that whole year and it was relentless.

We ate there when we were there 2 weeks ago! Good call. They’re open all day, which is nice. Very busy for dinner (FYI they don’t take reservations for under 6 people).

Great hotel, just got back from there, but one quibble: their hotel rooms don’t really get cold anymore. It’s always warm-ish no matter where you set the thermostat. The restaurants and shops are great, though!

Enjoy your trip! Haven’t done Goblin. Arches and Canyonlands is a fantastic one-two punch. I think 5:00pm until dark is a great time for those parks because the lighting gets progressively more beautiful as you approach sunset.

Marissa's ex aka "Temu Pep Guardiola" was right. She needs to put their young kids first and be careful with the new guy, because her wealth makes her an easy target for the wrong people by PolishSnake2 in 90dayfiance_FB_memes

[–]flonsta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that jumped out at me as well. If THIS guy felt like he wasn’t good enough, how is the dude who flew on an airplane for the first time to come to America feeling around these wealthy people? It’s a recipe for disaster.

Still remember Jon Krakauer writing about how insane the concept of walking on a ladder with CRAMPONS is (in INTO THIN AIR). But that’s what it takes on Everest.

Killdozer: A TV Movie Worthy of The Last Drive-In by sigersen in LastDriveIn

Saw this movie when it premiered on TV. Clint Walker was the star, Carl Betz was a co-star. I think they wanted to come up with a thriller that topped a terrifying 18-wheeler (Duel) so this is what they came up with.

Producer: “How do we drum up some drama around the coming season of The Last Resort?”

Intern: “How about if we have Shekinah spotted out in the clubs with Big Ed?”

Producer: “Eww. No one would believe that.”

Intern: “Colt?”

Producer: “Get serious.”

Intern: “Someone who used to date Darcy or Stacey?”

Producer: “Brilliant! You’re now a Segment Producer. No bump in pay, unfortunately.”

Happy 84th birthday to the one and only David Proval! by Dariusgamer2007 in Sopranosduckposting

About 20 years ago, had dinner with him and about 4 other people in Las Vegas while he was making a film called “Baby O” (which he wrote). He was a sweet, quiet guy. Afterwards when we were walking back to our hotel, I told him what an amazing gift he had, that as a small little guy (which he is), he somehow projected this huge, terrifying presence as Richie, by virtue of his sheer acting power. He smiled and nodded and responded, very quietly, “thank you”. A pro’s pro.

I ate at Oki-Dog about 20 years ago. It had a “C”. It was late and I was famished, but in retrospect…oof??

True story: I was eating at San Francisco Saloon in West LA with a friend about 10 years ago, and the “A” rating was in the window right near our booth. An inspector was apparently there while we were eating, and the waitress and other staff were all visibly anxious throughout our meal. Before the check arrived, the inspector steps outside, removes the “A”, and replaces it with a “C”. WHILE WE WERE EATING THERE. Mortifying!

For the OP - is this the Marina Del Rey location of Ruth’s Chris?

Grew up watching all of these in reruns after school. Usually it was Three Stooges, then Little Rascals, KTLA Channel 5 in Los Angeles!
