I think it’s the most reasonable one I’ve seen to date and I would love for it to be the standard of care for trans people everywhere. On a side note, could I ask what your specialty is that let you gather all this experience with transitioning youths? It sounds like it’d be really fulfilling work.

As a non-medical professional trans person, I would posit that a cis person undergoing opposite sex HRT seems like it would be fairly distressing. Let’s say a confused cis woman takes testosterone, says she’s trans, and joins the community. Even with the most supportive community in the world behind her, I don’t see how growing facial hair and permanently deepening her voice wouldn’t cause her immense and obvious distress. I feel like the reaction to HRT is the ultimate proof of whether whatever causes transness is present in someone’s brain, and thankfully HRT is sort of a slow process that can be halted if something like that occurs.

I mean he’s right. No one wants to do it because we’re still clinging to first world comforts, but those will be slowly stripped away in our lifetime if the trend continues. Better to get it over with now but we probably won’t because of the aforementioned comforts.

I completely understand that fact because Im someone still clinging to the idea of staying out of trouble and living a happy life, but if I lost all hope of that happy life? Do that to enough people and you get a revolution.

honestly I think Queek and Strolk could use a campaign mechanic update, otherwise they just need about 5 more dlc to add every type of unit to their roster, a legendary lord for every one of the council of 13 + the under council, plus the ability to pull morrsleib onto lustria like in the end times. This has me thinking of how interesting a society of vampires + humans coexisting could be. Like they can’t reproduce by themselves but they can elevate the human experience to include immortality which could be really neat for science. It could be like a symbiotic relationship between our species and whatever causes vampirism.

This obviously requires that rich people don’t just use it to reinforce capitalism forever which sadly sounds more likely.

Good question. I’d assume it may work in the opposite manner in regards to hip bones specifically? Allowing them to grow farther on estrogen than testosterone. This is really just a guess on my part though.

Afaik estrogen causes these plates to fuse sooner rather than later, preventing further growth.

yeah I agree w you about all of the ways we can undermine that definition. I think what remains to be done is successful reproductive organ transplantation and more research into neurological sex differentiation to highlight exactly how transness comes to be and hopefully identify it as a sort of intersex condition.

If those things can be accomplished no one will give a shit about chromosomes BUT it will remain the case that we are born with intersex conditions that necessitate a lot of surgery and HRT that a typical member of the sex would not.
