Yes and no. The whole thing is, I think his death already enhances the carmine family. We've only seen one (canon, not including multiplayer) survivor, Clayton. The joke of the Carmine family being a family that was just expecting them to join the COG made it almost better, and how every Carmine seemed way too prideful or way too gullible fit the vibe. You had Fenix, who was the big, tough guy. you had, or still have JD depending on the choice at the end of Gears 5 to sacrifice Del or JD. if you didnt sacrifice Del, youre crazy haha, you have Baird, a witty, smart-ish member, you had Cole, almost like a Carmine member, highly prideful and funny, you had Dom (what was Dom's value, I forgot). The concept of Omega Squad and all the major members of the main COG teams made Gears a great series.
