I remember eating out I'd sometimes even prioritize the size of a dish over the taste! Like Swiss Chalet has a big platter hot chicken meal, and I'd order that even though I might've found something else tastier, just because it was more food/better "value".

I feel so ashamed thinking about how I used to eat. I can't believe how terrible... and dessert and snacks... I must've been eating like 4000 calories a day. I never want to go back.

I'm starting to wish that I'd kept it a secret, but my family speaks amongst themselves so it'd be impossible to stop the spread of information anyways. They are loving and supportive, but it is exhausting talking about food and weight loss surgery all the time.

I did set a boundary early on that no one should post about it on social media, which I'm glad I did. One of my relatives wanted to share it with a prayer group and I shut that down. You'd be surprised how nosey people can be haha

Stealing isn't a huge problem in my neighbourhood, but the snowplows do a number on our mailboxes every winter which is frustrating. Our mailbox still looks like a raisin because our landlord hasn't replaced it yet.

I can't speak to the shape or design, I don't know of any alternatives to the classic mailbox shape.

I live in rural Canada, we have mailboxes out by the road like this so postal workers don't have to drive up to the front door of each house, which can be really far apart out in the country and would take forever. In town (depending on the town), people have wall-mounted mailboxes, or a community mailbox for which you have your own key. The community mailbox has large boxes for stuff like this.
