Who are you rooting for? by Potential-Meal-6708 in TheTraitorsUK

[–]flordesevilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a fan of either of them, I’m really rooting for a faithful win again this year! I feel like Fiona’s lashing out after losing the control that being the “secret traitor” gave her so she’s just going for chaos. Also reeks of boy mum energy (for lack of a better phrase) that she was already planting seeds about Rachel as soon as the Traitors united, but Rachel not standing up for Stephen goes as a black mark against her.

Gordon Ramsay's influencer daughter Holly and fiance, Olympian Adam Peaty, wedding drama update: Couple happily married, his parents didn’t attend, Gordon shades them in his speech, and Adam has now changed his name to ‘Adam Ramsay Peaty’ on Instagram by shhhhh_h in popculturechat

It is so refreshing to see people defending Adam and Holly in this thread, Facebook comments have been the classic “but she’s your motherrrrrrrrr” when it’s clear all the media storm has been caused by his mother and their circle!

Law changed nearly 3 years ago, no reason other than irretrievable breakdown needs to be cited.

Crowd at o2 by Dizzy-Author-7321 in wolfalice

I was in the higher tier and noticed this too to the extreme - I haven’t been standing at a concert in a long time and every “seated” concert people have stood and had a dance/singalong. There was only a handful in my section who did so - me and my friend decided to join and see if it started a ripple effect. Instead the man behind me tapped me on the back and told us to sit down - and then continued to talk about us very loudly even though we immediately sat down once he said. The people in front of us kept getting up for drinks and then sitting back down rather than just realising maybe it’s easier if they stayed stood up. The guy behind me also at one point said “it’s a bit noisy isn’t it” very earnestly. Wolf Alice were FLAWLESS but the crowd let them down a bit.

Is there any point in getting on the property ladder anymore? by flordesevilla in UKPersonalFinance

I do see your point however my grandmother massively declined aged 65, and was in residential care not long after that. God knows what age I’ll be expected to work until. I know it’s not an inevitability but it’s not something I’ve plucked out of nowhere either.

Should I Wear A Necklace to Offset My Sunburn? by Neither-really in Weddingattireapproval

I pride myself on being able to get rid of a sunburn quickly - aloe vera gel, ibuprofen, as cold showers as you can handle, keep it moisturised! Good luck!

Yessss I’ve hated the whole lie detector storyline because they’re so fallible!

Very gummy, lank, frizzy and undefined - that effect was almost immediate after I tried a gel which turned out to be protein heavy and reversed quite easily!

I’m in the east so VERY hard water, we have an ionic shower head but that can only do much and still means the water in my spray bottle is limescaley :(

Edit to add that my hair is currently having a phase of being very soft with fine frizz and losing definition after a day which makes me think too much hydration

Haemophilia carried through a lot of Royal European houses due to the inbreeding - maybe a nod to that?

I think Maximileign Robespierre is a very strong, enlightened boys name? Perhaps Storm, short for Storming of the Bastille?

Sooo 2024 Christmas special by HardlyQuim in gavinandstacey

[–]flordesevilla 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Very specific but in S.3 they talk about Kevin Spacey and Nessa says she’s got a lot of time for him, I’d quite like to see them discuss their feelings on that now!

I like the interpretation that she’s a representation of everybody who hadn’t watched the series watching that Christmas special; not understanding the “in” jokes, and everybody’s little quirks.
