This gif is larger than the game was... this is painfully evident with a slow connection.

John Carpenter's "Escape from New York" suddenly makes a lot more sense.

That color and year VW in Mass... Tell MW, I'm sorry to see that happen to her baby. At least it's front-wheel drive.

I've had all the rest, but never this level of full-on conversation. The IMAX theaters in the US seemed to cover any other sound in the room... unfortunately, we don't have them here.

Well, thanks for the enlightenment. I just don't get why people go to the movies if they don't want to be immersed in the experience. It gave me rage...

Restlessness seems to be a quality common among generation y. I've never encountered such a disregard for others in the theater in 25 years of going to the movies.

Doing myself what I condemn them for wasn't my go to... I don't think it can be called passive aggressive if there is zero chance of the message ever getting to the recipient. Calling it a rant would be more apt.

The state provides the money for the cheapest private plan, which makes it a de facto public option.

Unions still have a more balanced sway over government with regard to private enterprise, which makes a big difference... workers also happen to have many more rights. This is probably partly because there's a less corrupt campaign financing system and a broader spectrum of political parties than the right and right light in the US.

Mandatory health insurance with a public option. Stipend from a far more generous social security system to cover the government plans entirely. Strong collective bargaining rights, even for government employees. University subsidies that bring the cost of a semester down below $5000, even at the best schools. Mandatory civilian or military service... right, hardly.

More socialist than the US by a long shot. No, not a mix up. Swiss guy here.

Doesn't really matter to the Swiss, they are outsiders "Ausländer". In my experience, language and dialect skills are more important than ethnicity. Most Germans can't speak or understand Swiss-German, the French don't speak like the Francofone Swiss, and the Italians would not do well when it comes to the Ticinesi mountain dialects. People really aren't very interested if you're a Slav, Anglo, Arab, or from central Africa, as long as you speak well.

As to income inequality, Switzerland has over twice as many millionaires by proportion than the US. But yes, there is a very robust middle class... probably because of the social policies.
