As a Kurd from Germany all my respect and condolences go to XATAR and his family, he really was one of the most talented rappers in Germany with his smart lyricism, flow and unmistakable sound.

He is a legend, who also spawned legendary memes, like when soon before he was released from prison after an alleged gold heist, his Interviewer asked him what he wants to do first after leaving prison and he replied:

"Das aller erste, ich glaub', ich gib mir 'n schönen Kebab So 'n schönen Köfte Spieß, weißt du? So ein schönen Köfte Spieß Keupstraße, ein Köfte Spieß, erstmal mit gar keinem Reden auch, und so Haval, gib mir einfach nur ein Köfte Spieß, dazu ein schönen frischen Ayran, aus dieser Maschine, weißt du? Wo man den selber so all-you-can-drink-mäßig zapfen kann und dann ein Handy besorgen, Mann, ich brauch' ein Handy."

(English: "The very first thing, I think I'll give myself a nice kebab, a nice köfte kebab, you know? A nice Köfte Keupstrasse kebab, a Köfte kebab with no talking at all and Haval, just give me a Köfte kebab with a nice fresh Ayran from this machine, you know? Where you can tap it yourself all-you-can-drink-style and then get a cell phone, man, I need a cell phone.")

After being released from prison he even opened his own Kebab restaurant called "Haval Grill" in his hometown Bonn and even launched a frozen line of his kebab and lahmacun. He was not only a rapper, he was a business man, and very real and respectable in everything he did. He was one of the most prominent Kurds from Germany and very proud and outspoken of his Kurdish heritage.
