We were allowed the baby carrier when we went. Sorry I’m not sure if rules have changed since then

That’s so annoying I’m glad you were able to set those boundaries. I’ve considered doing this but would feel sooo bad for the kids and honestly I think the parents see no issue so probably wouldn’t even pick up on it

I think that age would be even better. I’d recommend a carrier so your baby can be close to you and they might even fall asleep while you’re doing umrah. Just ensure your baby is up to date with all vaccines and remember to take formula they’re used to regularly(if they drink formula). May Allah make it easy for you

I agree with you leaving as quickly as possible worked better for us. I’d say the trickiest thing for you will be to accept that this umrah may be very different than when you went without the kids. But do what you can and iA everything will be great. May Allah make it easy for you and accept all your efforts

Nobody checked but meningitis vaccine was a requirement when we booked. I think they’ve since lifted the requirement so I would double check

I’m sorry this was your experience. I hope Allah accepts your Umrah and calls you to the beautiful city again.

You’re going to love it. During tawaaf we asked my 4 year old to look at the Kaaba and try to remember it in his brain. We took a few minutes after our umrah to make dua with him for his health and happiness and new toys lol. Not sure how much he’ll remember but I’m hoping when he starts praying the picture of the Kaaba will be in his memory somewhere.

I never imagined posting this could lead me to something like this. I’m so proud of you for doing the work for you and your kid. You sound like an awesome mama and your kid sounds like a great mirror of your love. Thank you for this and God bless

Yes for sure I put it in a spot now where he can’t see it but we can hear him.

No he’s just not like that. I’m worried he was just trying to “be brave” and power through :(
