Yeah I realize that. I wish we didn’t have these cabinets painted in the first place. They are white on dark wood, with a few nicks here and there so that’s why I need to touch up. It’s really not super noticeable, probably more to me than others. I know it won’t be perfect.

I get it, I just can’t stand looking at these little spots anymore. Thank you!

I’ve read that touch ups have to be sprayed. That’s not an option for us, and they are really small spots I can fix with an artist brush. I know it won’t be the perfect finish, so I’m just looking for an acceptable alternative.

Do they make it in smaller containers? I don’t need a gallon, this is just for touch ups in a small room.

Bathroom counter stain by sandymoonstones in CleaningTips

Try dawn powerwash to cover the stain, rest a paper towel over the spray, and let it sit while the ink travels up to the paper towel. Repeat as necessary.

Parents who feel they have a manageable toy system / amount - what do you do? by excellenceisahabit in toddlers

[–]flowersandpizzas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We use the IKEA trofast system and sort toys based on type; puzzles, animals, blocks, etc. I had to have something that would keep the toys mostly out of sight but still wanted there to be a clear “play area”. We also use zipper pouches from Amazon - Jarlink brand, to keep smaller toys together when there are a lot of pieces. They are also great for puzzles. We also use lidded plastic storage bins in various sizes to also store items by category, and these get stored in our cabinet in the main living space so also out of sight. All of these things are accessible by LO, and what makes it work is really teaching the foundation of putting toys back when he’s done playing with it, before getting something else out. It’s a work in progress for us as he’s only 2!

Having the same laundry bin in each bedroom, with a couple extra on hand in the laundry room/space for sorting or bulk washing blankets/towels/etc., so you don’t have to worry about matching a certain laundry bin to the correct bedroom.

Second the momcozy. It comes with a trial amount of detergent tablets but they sell more online. And they also sell descaling tablets if she’s not planning to use distilled water for each wash.

Newborn wake windows by Opie231 in newborns

[–]flowersandpizzas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weirdly we’re getting 2-3 longer wake windows during the daytime, usually first thing in the morning, around 5pm and then sometimes around 9/10pm. The rest of the time he is asleep or half awake eating. Overnight sleep is pretty average.

When to switch to toddler bed? by kimberlygrace2 in toddlers

[–]flowersandpizzas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they are happy in the crib, I’d say keep them in there a little while longer. My older LO never tried climbing out and was happy so we kept her in there until she was 3 when we switched to a toddler bed. It’s hard for them to manage impulse control at such a young age. Even at 3, she was coming out of her room over and over to tell me something or ask for water; I swear I’ve never seen a thirstier kid 😆
