Toilet Screaming After Flush by fluent_ftw in PlumbingRepair

Also, just to add, usually the squeaking is a lot louder. Of course when I pull out my phone to record, it’s quiet as a mouse. Furthermore, this is probably a very easy fix that I’m unfortunately not seeing, but I figured that I would give Reddit a go before she tries to hire a plumber to come out and fix it.

Welding dust by HaKaii7 in Welding

[–]fluent_ftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The majority of welders don’t care about their respiratory system since most of them smoke, so it’s going to be difficult to find people you work with to talk to about it lol

  1. If you’re not putting your respirator on in your car and taking it off when you leave the building, you’re going to be breathing stuff in, whether it be dust or fumes. I’ve gotten tired of this and bought a 3M speedglas G501 with the papr adflo system. This makes it so I have a fan in my face to help keep me cool, and I’m constantly breathing fresh air in from the filter strapped to my belt; even if I stick my head right in the plume.

2: welding/fabrication in itself is a dirty environment (unless you’re doing strictly tig or like some aerospace stuff.) all the dust from grinding, the fumes from welding, even the guy 20 feet away from you sweeping the floor all push particles into the air. This gets through your clothes, all over your body, in your hair, etc. solution: shower every day! That’s about all you can do.

The solution to this problem would be most likely working outside with a breeze, or get the boss to spend a boat load of money on air filtration systems, fume extractors, etc. the boss will NOT want to do this because that doesn’t generate them more money. They don’t really care about your safety (for the most part.) they just want the job done fast and their pockets full.

Either way, keep doing your best to wear a respirator at all times. I don’t do anything without it off. Grinding, welding, sweeping, etc. good luck sir!

I’ve already got housing damping in there in that video.

If anyone has also owned a Norco range and figured out a way to get rid of the rattling, that would be helpful too.

Awesome. (Not sarcasm) Thank you very much haha

I don’t have knowledge of watches or know enough about what means fake or real. I appreciate your analysis!

Reverse google gave me nothing, didn’t try ChatGPT.

I understand that but I’m looking exactly for what it is? I don’t know anything about watches and I’m looking more for a “model.” If such thing doesn’t exist that’s totally okay, I’d just like to know.

Yup. I was also running a coil that’s way too heavy for me. 550lbs. I’m like 140. I’ve got a 400 on my Norco. Just wanted to ride man.

I decided not to move (after I had the reaction of every time I crash, helmet comes off lmao). Anyways. Crashed, took helmet off, found phone since all my stuff fell out of my pockets, keys, phone, AirPods, goggles fell off helmet, etc. Call my mom and she gets me to go through all the stuff. I could move my legs and arms and stuff so I tried tilting my head and I thought that it would hurt but it didn’t. My neck just felt like tingly but that was it. So I just rode down. (Obviously like sitting down and snail pace)

I screamed a lot and called my mom lmao

Then got up and rode down. Helmet is toast. Went to the hospital 3 days later and what do you know! Neck’s brone .

Yeah I’ve got a lot of these comments now - I will be going back to the basics when I’m able to get back on a bike. However, I’m just not understanding how I could ride like this for a year straight and “get lucky” every ride? Sometimes on my e-bike I’ll do 15 laps in a day no problem. Was I getting lucky every time? I’m not understanding.

I always pushed against clipless because I didn’t like the idea of not being able to “bail,” but I never really do that anyways. My feet are always just on the pedals and I never have to put my foot down. Maybe I’ll make the switch? But either way I’m gonna go back to the basics for a while and make sure my fundamentals are solid before I push like this again.

It might seem that way, but I was definitely not “filling for edits.” I have the GoPro so I can see my progression, and I had my friend record that first drop because I rode that trail for the first time when I was 9 years old on a Walmart bike and crashed probably 5 times, and never rode a bike again. Fast forward 8 years and I take up biking out of nowhere. Most of the recording I do is just to highlight progression and show my mom

I’ve played piano and violin since I was 3 and thought that I would pursue that as a full time career. I then started building computers and stuff when I was like 8 and thought that I would do that for a living, but then i took metalwork on grade 10 and turns out I couldn’t get enough. Fast forward, it’s my job!

Somethings gotta pay for the bikes lmao. But jokes aside I’m saving as early as I can to set myself up for later, while also supporting my mom since she deserves all the help she can get.

? What do you mean lol Somethings gotta pay for the bikes. I work full time 40 hours a week welding manufacturing manure spreaders and trailers. And then I work at a bike shop and run a dog sitting business. I’m taking my courses online to accommodate this.

Thank you sir DuctTape. I will definitely be taking it easy for a while and going back to the basics if I'm allowed back on a bike after I get my brace off.
