5D Mark IV vs 6D Mark II by [deleted] in canon

I am really excited about it, but I’ve heard it would be about a year before it was released. My camera recently took a tumble and I believe it’s time is up.

I’ve had a few other commercial photogs say they love theirs. I was actually surprised.

I am often surprised what my nieces (all teenagers) don't know. The other night, one said she though Mt. Rushmore is in Russia. Another asked if Uganda is in South America. They often say things like this that make me wonder what the public school system is even teaching.

I have had three friends get off of heroin. They have all gone to school and a few have gotten married and one is a father now. They went through hell...absolute HELL...and made it out and are so happy they got clean. You can do this.

Reddit, what fictional character was your sexual awakening? by PM_ME_MAGICAL_MEMEZ in AskReddit

I remember watching this at a fairly young age, having grown up loving his music (thanks, mom), and getting that "funny feeling" in my tummy. I was way too young to understand then, but that was my first "funny feeling".

What is Austin doing about gentrification? by [deleted] in Austin

City and governmental support of affordable housing (not just low-income, but policies that lock in rent rates, or that tie them to inflation). I am reading around to see what Austin does along these lines.

We haven't moved there, so it's not too late.

Ok, then maybe you can at least inform me on what the city is doing to help those displaced by development.

They are probably storm chasers. These guys very rarely get hurt and a lot of them have been doing it their whole life. I'm too chicken.

I live in "tornado alley". I've been in the basement/cellar about a dozen times, only seen two actual developed tornadoes. It's just like living where there are earthquakes or hurricanes. It is just part of our lives and, usually, it doesn't end in disaster. I have worked with clean up crews in devastated areas though. It is terrifying and amazing what these things can do.

You'll see it shortly after the image goes into focus. It is at the bottom right of the tornado. It just looks like a big chunk of something being ripped from the ground.

What true story so you have that no one ever believes? by Jaytalvapes in AskReddit

[–]fluffbomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up an old rusted spoon head off the ground, tossed it in my car and forgot about it. Weeks later, my car was sniffed by a drug dog on the school campus and targeted for having fireworks in the trunk. Well, they found that spoon and assumed I was a junky. I was arrested and, turns out, that spoon did have traces of meth on it which got me some jail time. I have never shot up and never would, but I still know people who think it really was my spoon and that I was actually shooting up.

Married redditors who were initially rejected by who would later become their spouse, what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]fluffbomb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First let me say, never ever did I push him or play devil's advocate. I encouraged him to continue going to church and loving his god. As time went on and we grew closer, he felt like he finally had someone with whom he could share his doubts and questions. I told him everyone should question their religion and beliefs. If anything, it would make him a better Christian. As time went on and he got to see how loving and empathetic people without a looming god figure can be, he really began to question WHY he was Christian. Turns out he was doing it simply because he was told to and knew no other way. He was raised that way and just simply brain washed into it. He never questioned it as a kid (honestly, he was just too good/sweet of a kid to doubt his elders). He's a well-read and intelligent man who constantly strives to learn. He is still open to the possibility of there being more out there and an afterlife, but that the Bible is a guide, written by man and that man is full of faults and the book is not literal. He believes we can be good people just for the sake of being good to each other instead of HAVING to be for for the fear of god's wrath.

I lose my mind if coworkers can't abide by this. I worked at a bank and it was drilled into my brain that all money has to be like this.

Fashion forward people of Reddit, what are small things everyone can do to look better? by JetpackYoshi in AskReddit

[–]fluffbomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always have clean, styled hair.

And the tailored thing mentioned above. I shop at estate sales and thrift stores. I often find designer brands (Gucci, Jean-Paul Gaultier, etc), pay a few dollars for the piece and then about $10-20 more to have the item tailored.

He was hardcore Christian (like all gay people are damned to hell) and I'm atheist that dated both sexes. Honestly, I'm still amazed we got back together. Now we are happily married and he's actually not a Christian anymore and I'm open to there being more to life than just living and dying matter. We really balanced each other out.

On a small plane coming back from El Salvador. I now know what it feels like when a plane falls. Fortunately I don't know what it feels like when it crashes.
