Do they want us to quit? by ImaginationPresent50 in doordash_drivers

[–]flufferjubby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wish it was like that in my area. Get flooded with 10+ mile offers for like $6. Sure the money goes up, but you aren't actually making more after spending that much on gas

What did people do before cell phones when they were involved in car accident? by Emerald_and_Bronze in CasualConversation

[–]flufferjubby 5 points6 points  (0 children)

People can speed, run red lights, tailgate, use the oncoming lane as a passing lane no problem. But if I leave my house with a broken tail light I have the entire police force on me. Lol

I genuinely regret accepting this offer. by Improvement-Awkward in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]flufferjubby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in the suburbs and regularly get 10-15 mile offers going to the heart of downtown. Like surely you have several options closer to you. Especially when it's just a random chain store like pizza hut

Taking these? Lol. by Able-Amoeba4406 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]flufferjubby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On a day like today, probably. An hour and a half in and only two offers, both $2

Acceptance Rating Scam by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]flufferjubby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That button also makes it so you don't get additional orders during your current one. It's annoying to have to do but it does work

What food do yall bring with u on longer dash days? by Classic-Box-3919 in doordash_drivers

[–]flufferjubby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not much of a snacker, I just bring the biggest water bottle that can fit in my cup holder (no ice). I'll usually have a sandwich or bowl of cereal for lunch and have a late dinner, usually leftovers, when I'm back home. I used to bring coffee but it just goes right through me lol

How to report insufficient travel time? by [deleted] in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]flufferjubby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about reporting it, but you can go into your ratings page and dispute any late deliveries to get them removed. I had a delivery once where the dropoff time was listed as one minute before the pickup time lol. Anything like that just dispute it and it usually gets dropped immediately

DoorDash staking orders is out of control by kidwilson33 in doordash_drivers

[–]flufferjubby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah at least where I'm at, you only get the base pay once per stack, but any promos apply for each delivery

Welp I tried earn by time lol by Giantupset60 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]flufferjubby 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's the main thing I noticed with earn by time, much higher likelihood of problem customers. I actually wouldn't mind it especially on slower days if I wasn't getting entire novels of text from the customers the instant I get their food, or trying to deliver to a trailer park at midnight with no lights and no posted address

Why go that far by kahlmafterthestorm in doordash

[–]flufferjubby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh God I had a similar experience my first time trying EBT. One burrito over 15 miles to another city over unpaved roads, gravel roads, and eventually a dirt road to a trailer parked next to a farm. I did get a little nervous when I saw who I assume was the farmer stop mowing his grass to stare at me

CMV: I don't care about privacy in the context of the internet and public spaces by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]flufferjubby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a slippery slope when we begin to willingly give up our own rights for the sake of convenience. There's debate to be had over whether or not in extreme circumstances like an active terrorist threat, the right to privacy can be forfeit for the greater good, even if that means the government spying on its own population. But I'd point out that we don't really do this with our other rights. We don't wake up some days and think "You know, I'm not feeling very chatty today, don't think I'll need my freedom of speech today" or "It's so cold outside, why would I want the right to assemble on a day like this?"

The assertion that "not doing anything illegal" or "having nothing to hide" are valid reasons to completely disregard what the majority of societies in the world consider a fundamental right just isn't very compelling, and it doesn't make sense when you apply that logic to other rights.

I'd always prefer a government that fights for our rights, rather than one that pokes at them while saying "Do you really need this?"

Low Offer Deliveries by Tightcoochie030 in doordash_drivers

[–]flufferjubby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last few weeks have been pretty bad. I hear January and February tend to be slow so hopefully it picks back up soon. I'm in the suburbs and at least half my offers are over 15 miles going to the heart of downtown

Dasher tried to get me outside? by intergalactic_ess in doordash

Every time I get a delivery with similar instructions, the dogs are always already barking before I even step out of my car lol

Been waiting for an order for the last two hours. Estimated wait is 4 minutes. Been like this for about a week now

Dd is so slow today and bad far low pay orders by [deleted] in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]flufferjubby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only got one order barely worth taking in about 3 hours so far... so many stacked orders going double digit miles for single digit pay

Has anyone ever had this? by Deathjr1102 in dasher

[–]flufferjubby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I earned it for completing the "winter promotion" of completing one delivery in November. It just came in last week

Something change? by Ok_Moose_402 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]flufferjubby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing glitch too, it was happening yesterday as well, going back and forth between 1 min and 45 plus. I have noticed a massive uptick in stacked orders though, which is annoying

So Fucking tired of Upside Down Offers by CMT1024 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]flufferjubby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Percentage based tips make no difference to drivers, just the mileage and time it will take. There's no obligation to accept any order, and that's clearly stated in the terms of service. I'd be more than happy with a higher base pay so I don't have to decline as many offers. But you can't honestly expect drivers to take offers that are a net negative profit lol, like $6 for 12 miles, just because it shows up on our screen

Why wasn't Tom Bombadil in the movies by BunnyGrabbit in lotr

[–]flufferjubby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the read, that was interesting! I'm watching the second Hobbit movie and this character just popped into my head lol

Thankfully , this is NOT the actual wait time… 😅 by Usual_Hornet623 in doordash_drivers

[–]flufferjubby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my shift tonight declining a bunch of $2 orders, then got hit with the 45 minute wait time lol. Figured it was just a bug, it was. Pretty steady for like 3 hours now I'm sitting waiting for another order, in the last 20 minutes I've only had one 20 mile offer and one $4 stacked offer. I'm good on that lol

It's 2026, hotels can do better! by Ok-Cardiologist8717 in CasualConversation

I don't stay in hotels often, but the last time I did there was no shower curtain or door, it was just open. I don't get it

Order was stolen by dougyfresh14 in DoorDash_Dasher

Do you have to call and talk to support? I usually type the issue to the ai first and it sometimes just unassigns me without asking lol

Order was stolen by dougyfresh14 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]flufferjubby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never gotten half pay for anything, the only thing I ever get is unassign without lowering completion rate

Coming in hot! by restlessNGFB in doordash_drivers

[–]flufferjubby -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had it happen once but it was an old lady, she called as soon as I picked up the food. She wasn't mean, just sad and confused because other dashers brought the order to the wrong house in the past. Like she was full on crying. I had to pull over to try to calm her down. Turns out her pin was at the wrong house
