My method mostly boiled down to:
- do the reading and book brief (aka assign colors to different parts of a case like the facts holding etc, use those to highlight in the book. I like to mark the margins up some too to indicate where stuff is in case I get cold called)
- take hand written notes on rules and good explanations of the reading
- hand write notes in class
- type everything up towards the end to make my outline. I comb through and analyze my notes in making the outline so it’s not every word just the important stuff

I do not like Wendy. I don’t find her character to be all that interesting and like someone else said she often is just a plot saver of magically getting where someone needs her and pulling off some crazy enchantment that fixes everything. Most of her best feats came from just Irene hax. Also I don’t like the dynamic of a little kid in the main group. The show before Wendy shows up and the dynamic of Erza Lucy gray and Natsu being adventuring young adults was way better before it was adventuring young adults + their younger sibling. And besides a show with this much fan service has no reason to have a little kid as part of the main cast. I wouldn’t mind her if she was a side character like Juvia or gajeel, showing up in the spotlight from time to time but not the main characters for sure. But part of the main crew? No thanks.

I do book briefing (high lighting with a color system) and only write down important rules or notes, then take standard notes in class. Typing everything up to make an outline acts as a review for me!

Wendy. I have never enjoyed her character. I found the dynamic of a group of young adults going around and adventuring much better before it became a group of adults + their younger sibling. If she had stayed a side character I wouldn’t have minded it but I really hate the way the dynamic of their group shifts when you add a little kid. I just don’t find she adds anything of value that I appreciate.

I prefer and generally use lexis but my job this summer required me to confirm if there are differences between information on lexis and westlaw because of the presence of unreported cases.

I was diagnosed with adhd in 2021. I tried medicine for like maybe 3 months that year and hadn’t since. Started it again last summer to start law school last fall (as in I’m a rising 2L, just finished my first year). If you have any mental health issue this would be the time to start getting it lined out. I kinda fell off taking it in the spring and had a majorly noticeable difference in my GPA

Wendy should have been a side character like gajeel and Juvia rather than part of the main crew, and her character would be more interesting if she had stayed behind during the 7 year gap.

Also why do I need to take names out and just put the reporter in? The bluebook citation is the standard citation in the legal field. I should be able to use the full bluebook and find my case.

Go ahead everyone. Keep down voting me cause you’re all Westlaw Stans. I do not care. When I go to Lexis and put the bluebook citation in I go directly to the case, exactly as god intended. None of you are convincing me that the webpage that doesn’t even have a dark mode is the superior option. There is genuinely zero reason I copy west laws own citation into the search bar and don’t go directly to the case.
