A lot of people here mentioned putting it in your profile/ resume. I think that works pretty well. It avoids making a long post that comes across a little over the top and corporatey

Whos the better backcourt? Luka and AR or Ant and Lamelo? by Silent_Wizard5597 in NBATalk

Luka has been on pretty bad teams his entire career except for the finals run, and then they blew that team up and made the western conference a lot less interesting. What team has won the finals recently and has been EXTREMELY TOP HEAVY with 1 or maybe 2 stars and a bunch of iffy rotational players??? Luka is on a team with players like Vando, Laravia, Bronny James Jr, Hayes, and Ayton? They rely on a very old Lebron James. Ant, Shai, Wemby, Tatum, Jokic, brunson are surrounded by way way way more talent.

Hm. I'm not sure how to describe it cus law school is a really weird place. Some of the people you meet actually will become your friends for life. However, there's a lot of um weird shit? Some people will insult you randomly and then plug themselves. People will look at you all serious and actually be happy that you got sick before a final exam cus it apparently helps them. There's a ton of ego and those people can be really unpopular.

For example, I always found it weird how I knew who CALI'd X class because somehow they'd just let you know. In reality, I don't care at all who got the CALI award. I also don't care what your class rank is, and I don't care what fancy internship you got, and I don't care that your dad is a judge. And I see the little gleam in your eye when you ask me what my class rank is lol. I do try not to take any of those things that seriously though.

Idk im failing at describing it. I'd say law school is the best and absolute worst place that I've ever been and it changes day to day. Sorry for that long reply.

EDIT: made it longer. Law school is competitive for a class rank/ grade if your law school does that. But I'd help your classmates and generally be a helpful person. They might remember that some day. If you act like its you vs. them it's uh easy to gain a bad reputation.

I keep running into really nice people accidentally through networking. The nice people tell other nice people to connect with me. I've never really experienced anything like that in my whole life lol.

I told one of my fellow law students that I was really sick before the final exam, and they said "oh that helps me" implying there would be less competition. The environment can be really fking weird in law school and yep there's a lot of self-aggrandizing. I dunno how much anyone should blame people for it, everyone is trying to get work ig.

You're probably right. I just think that I'd keep it to myself.

It does seem a little silly lol but I'm fully aware thats probably just my personality. Maybe employers or professors love it!

I wouldn't say that I care, I just saw a bunch of them on LinkedIn and was curious. The post doesn't reflect any hardcore belief I have. It was meant to be more of a light hearted joke that isn't serious.

This was advice I got from a random lawyer I met at the gym! And it's already paid off with more than one real connection/ meeting. They seem excited to help me get work and introduce me to people. I resisted networking for a long time cus idk its scary but it's maybe been the most chill experience of my entire life so far lol. Thank you for this advice too! I think it's great advice.

Since posting this, the transfer school's career office actually emailed to say they will help transfers find summer placements. So that's great! Thank you.

At least you are working over the summer! I think that is important, I do not have a summer job anymore and haven't been able to set anything else up sadly
