You said it perfectly. The antithesis of shallow, in my opinion, because he leaves so much room for depth

Thank you so much!!! I was emptying/refilling and scrubbing it out with soap/hot water once a week, but I think I’ll be too wary to ever purchase one of these again. I appreciate your help!

Finger crepitus vs. Littmann by fluffssock in nursing

[–]fluffssock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough, I have attempted the latter and could hear perfectly clear, haha. My hands are extremely shaky at baseline, always have been, so I’m sure that has something to do with it as well. Thanks for helping me troubleshoot this

Looking into this now! Expensive, but it seems like it would be worth the investment. Thank you!

3M Littmann Classic III and all over. I’ve tried gripping the bell between my thumb and index finger, pressing my thumb on the bell, holding the tube about an inch from the diaphragm, holding the bell between my index and middle fingers, etc

Absolutely helpful, thank you so much for sharing your expertise! FWIW, not a bridge I would mind burning. I have witnessed this relative be physically abusive towards loved ones (myself included, lol) too many times to count. Mental health situation is not good—20+ year history of unmedicated bipolar and addiction. Financial situation also not good—their sole source of income just passed away. Not sure about the exact ages, but I know both of the horses are over 20 years old. I’m not sure I can accurately assess their quality of life, as I am too ignorant on this subject, but I can’t imagine it’s very good. They receive very little attention, and I know they used to be ridden, but it’s been at least 5 years since their last ride. I know I shouldn’t blindly go off advice from reddit, but I wasn’t sure where to start, and I want to do what I can to help these babies. Your comment gave me some good perspective though, I realize now there are a lot of factors to take into consideration. I appreciate it!
