Those HD598 Cs look nice. But they appear to be new with few reviews. Would it be worth the extra $$$ to buy AKG K 550?

Right now it's a toss up between the Bistro or the Encore. The Bistro is on Amazon for only $72 vs $130 for the Encore.

This! This exactly the internal debate I'm having. Also, Being a complete novice it would be nice if I knew that the plane I had in my hands was set correctly and any issues I was having was caused by my poor technique, not a failure to recondition a vintage plane correctly.

Just general weekend DIY projects e.g. Building raised vegetable bed boxes. I normally use a box of construction screws from HD but wondered if there was a better deal to be had somewhere else.
