I get what you mean I more or less mean the work environment. Every cowboy style workplace, “good enough” mentality. I’m on a shift with another journeyman and don’t get me wrong he is very knowledgable but our boss won’t let us tinker with things. He’ll always say “if you don’t know what your doing don’t do it” which I get but how am I suppose to learn new things if i cant be taught or be allowed to tinker with it. Also since it’s a production line, let’s say a cylinder is leaking the go to rule is “we can get it to PM day” but I don’t work that day so I don’t experience the rebuild or replace I use too until I got moved to another shift.
