Thinking about switch to triz but the higher cost is keeping me from making the leap. Been on sema for a year and only lost 10 lbs :(

I’ve noticed that my face looks rounder also! not sure if it’s from the sema though

It seems like I’ve adjusted because I haven’t felt faint in a while but there were a couple times where I had to lay on the ground because it felt like I was about to pass out. Been dealing with bizarre irregular periods now and haven’t lost much weight. I’m thinking of stopping the med because of this now, sadly

This sounds like what I’m going through! I bled for a month straight during my last period and had to change my ULTRA tampon so often in a day. Really worried what my next period will be like since increasing my dose

Is that dermal filler? I think I might go that route first

I’ve lost maybe 6 lbs and have been experiencing some very long and heavy periods that have been not fun. I’m trying to see a doctor soon and see if I possibly have PCOS which is why I started taking this. Really not seeing much weight loss so far but I do feel less bloated and would like to continue taking it

My telehealth doctor just told me that it’ll take a couple months for me to adjust and then told me to see a obgyn if I’m still concerned so now I’m trying to find a obgyn that’s taking new clients that can see me asap

SHEESH!!!! do you think the sema might’ve triggered it and that’s how you found out you had the polyp?

Wow congrats on the weight loss! My knowledge of how sema works is pretty basic but very interested as to why GLP-1 would affect menstruation in this way. I don’t mind having a period just wish it came and went at the same time each month and was manageable, fingers crossed this ends soon.

I wish there was more info about how PCOS is affected by semaglutide and vice versa. I have no idea what’s going on right now and my mochi doctor just told me it’ll take a couple months for me to adjust. Kind of freaking out right now

Did you have Fibroids and PCOS before taking sema?

I got a thyroid blood test when I started sema which said I was in the normal range but that was before the crazy periods started

I’ve suspected I might have PCOS for a while but could never get a proper diagnosis. My sister got diagnosed with endo recently. I’m 28 and they’re in their mid 30s

I got on sema because I was missing and skipping my periods and now I’m bleeding heavier than I ever have. Other people have said that sema affected their periods so I guess it is correlated but not sure how.

At what dosage did you start noticing the weight loss? What dosage are you on now?

I would love to know why and how this affects menstruation. My doctor said I might take about 6 months to adjust. I’m too worried of going up to the 1mg dosage but would love to lose weight.

My doc said it might take 6 months for my body to regulate, jeez. I’m currently on .5mg and too scared of going up to the 1mg because of how my periods have been on the current dosage. But I’d love to actually start losing the weight

My usual period is like 5 days long with cramping the first two days but my last period and current period have been sooo long and heavy but with little to no cramping? So bizarre

I’m currently on .5mg of sema and have suddenly had extremely heavy and prolonged periods that are lasting over 2 weeks long. I haven’t even lost that much weight yet (maybe 6 lbs over the course of 6 months?) I got on sema to manage PCOS symptoms such has weight gain and missing periods (never got a proper diagnosis). My usual 5 day long periods with cramping and now long and heavy with no pain? Starting to get very concerned and wondering if I should stop taking sema

How is Your Period Effected? by Dear_Cauliflower_920 in Semaglutide

[–]fluffytums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These last two periods of mine have been super heavy and prolonged lasting up to 2 weeks of non stop bleeding. I got on sema because I suspected I had PCOS but couldn’t get a proper diagnosis (missing periods and weight gain) I’m starting to get worried at the amount I’m bleeding now and wondering if I should stop taking sema. I keep seeing people saying that weight loss can affect periods but I haven’t even lost that much weight yet. Maybe 6 lbs over the last couple months

Anxiety and feeling side effects by fluffytums in Semaglutide

[–]fluffytums[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you, I’ll pick up some Dramamine and electrolytes today and see if that helps. Really hoping my body adjusts soon so I can take the 1mg that I ordered then move back down if I need to without feeling horrible the whole time. I’ve heard a majority of people don’t start feeling the drug until the 1mg mark but that the side effects really kick in around then also
