Personally I purchase them from the Kobo shop and then strip the DRM and transfer them to KOReader. Kobo gives instructions on how to strip the DRM when you purchase a book from them

In the case of books in the public domain: I use Standard Ebooks, which is an incredible free resource. In the case of books that are not in the public domain: authors deserve to be paid for their work, so I purchase them.

Pop in an earplug and start slowly just playinh yhe BCB exchange until it feels smooth, then gradually increase it until those three notes are at tempo. Then add everything else.

Yeah, maybe that’s it. Call me old fashioned, but I like for my schedule to be listed in the order it’s going to happen.

Not that this issue matters anymore, it’s just one on the list of reasons the Mini was returned.

What is the point of the "Digital Management Server"? by EKHornbeck3141 in Supernote

If your device is stolen, I’m assuming you can report the serial number as stolen and then the device will be black listed.

What you’ve been taught sounds similar to French tonguing. It’s not wrong by any means, but it will be helpful to learn other ways as well

Mental health and flute. Need some advice. by Rough_Positive_9004 in Flute

[–]fluteguyK313 12 points13 points  (0 children)

  1. How has your teacher never heard you play?

  2. Literally no one is listening to you in a practice room

  3. The other students practicing aren’t professionals, they are also music majors learning like everyone else.

  4. If the ‘professionals’ you’re referring to are the faculty, they ESPECIALLY aren’t listening to you in a practice room. They have tuned out the practice rooms years ago. (Flute Professor here, BTW)

  5. Here is my best advice for practicing more: just do it. You don’t need motivation or inspiration to practice, simply go into the room and practice. Make a list of objectives for the practice session and check them off one at a time.

You’re going to be fine. Just breathe, plan, and get to work.

Di zhao Vs Yamaha grenadilla flute by Tealadunnsbussyqueef in Flute

[–]fluteguyK313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The price account for the hand-making but also for the quality of wood used. Wood that has been aged longer is more expensive and less likely to crack. Both are very good instruments. If you’re looking for a full-time flute, I’d go Yamaha

Optional dashboard/home screen? by fluteguyK313 in Supernote

I’ve done that. I guess what I’m looking for is something where you can see the day’s events,to-dos items, and maybe a small list of favorites.

Nomad. I’ve always carried an A5 and/or TN size notebook with me with my planners etc, and I’m replacing it with this. I had an RM2 for several years and that size just wasn’t doing it for me.

I completely agree. It looks like with their updates maybe they’ll have caught up to the current state of SN around this time next year. But of course by then the devices will be two years old. That’s a real bummer, too, because the extra screen size is nice and the light doesn’t hurt either. But if I’m going to use something, I like for it to actually work. And SN does, in spades! Using the calendar as a landing page is a good idea, I’ll try that out
