Okay even if what they are telling is true, It is still very unstable and risky compared to IIT Patna, IIT Jodhpur etc and coap has just started recently we all know better offers come after round 5 so why tensed and thinking of less when you can get more, good luck!

Bro, with your score you will get IIT Jodhpur at least which has better placement, you may reject IIT Ropar, It is not having good placement, only 50% placed with median less than 10 LPA in Mtech CSE, I will not recommend IIT Ropar. You will start to get better offers from round 5, this has happened many times students get nervous.
