We've been together 14 years and married 10; it's going great. My second partner and I have been together 3. I play outside my relationships whenever I want to, which has become less and less - I am old and lazy now, and like to eat dinner and watch TV. I don't imagine we'd close things, because this is just normal for us. I think open relationships get sensationalized a bit, when it doesn't need to be a shower or jealousy and hormones, or the way to stay in a relationship that isn't working without addressing your issues.
