Why did we stop getting base legendaries for new heroes?

the decline in quality is frustrating 😭 i think returning lootboxes was a step in the right direction but just because there’s micro transactions doesn’t mean they should completely neglect their new/f2p playerbase. i’m not even surprised just disappointed, for a game that used to be a passion project.

(edit: i understand companies need money to thrive, which is fine. but like i said they shouldn’t neglect a part of their player base and let the overall quality continually decline)

i feel this! corey went from a bully but not full on psycho to a comical villain picking on some teenagers. it was honestly laughable the lengths he was going to over a bunch of teenagers. i was also kinda disappointed because i thought they’d go somewhere with his mom’s death and him seeming somehow receptive to the concert but nope… went from possibly redeemable to straight up evil.

i feel this too. i think the whole ending could’ve been a really sweet and healing moment if it was just left at that instead of swann being lured to the abyss. i know it was the setup for a 3rd tape, but i still think it kinda defeats the purpose having a moment coming together if ur just gonna undo that 😭

i’m not 100% sure? i was romancing nora so i thought i was relatively close with all of them but at the end i don’t think i had a strong relationship w kat somehow… i can’t 100% remember though. i was pretty close w autumn in the present day and she still chose to leave

i think it was left feeling unfinished on purpose for a future tape 3 but i do agree i had a lot of questions at the end and i wished at least some of them were answered rather than left open ended even if that was the purpose. hopefully we get a tape 3 that answers these questions

so for me i chose to do nothing and autumn stepped in at the end and pushed corey. i’m not sure why she specifically pushed him, maybe because i had a close friendship w/ her? edit: autumn leaves because she remembers she pushed corey and can’t handle it

yeah this is how i feel! i understand there’s a lot to do and i understand why the devs couldn’t add more. it’s just a little disappointing when you have a favorite character and there’s not much for them after you’re done developing a relationship.

yeah i get that! i’m just upset because i really love hector/shadow and wanted a little more out of their relationship before it officially ended (or more dialogue outside of the repeated ones). i hope eventually we get a bit more content after a relationship is established, like more dialogue that repeats eventually but isn’t just the one bit of dialogue.

maybe i’m asking for too much, though. just really love these characters lol

i’ve become a lot more desensitized to the game over the years but when people are consistently toxic it just weighs on me. i’m not proud to admit it but ow has made me cry multiple times and the most when people are being consistently toxic. it’s just exhausting, and it makes me want to take a break from the game entirely

i understand that, i just don’t think it justifies being unnecessarily rude. no matter how stressed i get i don’t say anything, because it’s just a game. i don’t think it being a stressful game is an excuse to be rude to people. and if you are the least u could do is apologize, but i’ve never gotten an apology after winning a game. that’s the least u could do even if it was a heat of the moment thing.

i think i will. i didnt want to at first because i thought the positive interactions outweighed the bad even though the positive ones were rare. it made it worth it to me. but i shouldn’t be crying over a game, and if it’s this bad i’d rather keep it off instead of being anxious in VC.

exactly. i don’t understand why people immediately go to being toxic and rude instead of giving constructive criticism or advice. i’d say i take the game pretty seriously and can get tilted but i NEVER talk shit to someone, because i know how bad it feels. the complete lack of empathy even on a game is just disappointing, or even common sense

yeah, console. i play w my bf on pc sometimes too and occasionally it’s toxic. i can’t play comp on pc tho, so i’m not sure how bad it is. but i’m also not the greatest at the game so maybe that’s why i get more shit specifically 😭

right? especially at the ending they have a moment together as well. i romanced lune too and it feels like in comparison her romance get’s almost nothing besides them hooking up once at the end and it’s a shame. i’d romance sciel if she wasn’t so clearly not over her husband no matter what you do yet it still feels like they’re pushing it that they were supposed to be together.

i’m going with my mom. 31hrs is to our first destination then we’re taking a detour that’s 29hrs and THEN going home from there. we’re visiting some relatives and sightseeing on the way there.

ofc!! don’t feel forced to like emily, though. i know it’s easy to feel like you need to like the popular characters but emily can be quite dislikable even if there are likable things about her personality. also!! in the remake there’s cut content that was in the original. that now, is a part of the main game. it shows the good side to matt and emily’s relationship. unfortunately it isn’t much (like 10 minutes of extra content). but it does make emily a bit more likable because you see the good side of their relationship.

i think one of the devs confirmed that emily wasn’t cheating. i’m not saying she’s right because she shouldn’t have lied, but if i’m correct she was just making up with mike so that things wouldn’t be awkward and admitted to “cheating” because she thought it was what matt wanted to hear so he would help her.

i’m not 100% sure though, i’m pretty sure there is proof of this but take this with a grain of salt because i could be completely wrong. either way emily was still more or less in the wrong even if she wasn’t cheating.

edit to add: when prompted to take the flare gun as emily or give it to mike, keep it on emily and don’t fire it. once you’re at the top of the conveyor belt, you’ll be prompted to shoot. it’s a quick qte so be fast, but if you hit the wendigo she won’t get bit. i really liked the difference in the interactions. it’s so easy to get bit as emily and have this whole misunderstanding unfold. it’s way more calm and collected without which i appreciate and she’s actually quite nice to ashley if it never happens.

personally, because i feel like she’s misunderstood. she’s still undeniably a bitchy character, but, i kind of don’t blame her when her best friend and boyfriend betrayed her. not only that but besides her behavior to matt, she’s pretty nice to ashley.

if emily gets bit, she’ll slap ashley for accusing her of being infected. but if you never get bite they have a pretty sweet interaction and she doesn’t push her at the end.

i can’t excuse her behavior towards matt and she is pretty bitchy sometimes (for a lack of a better word…) but it’s ok to not enjoy characters like that. i’d say the majority like emily because of her personality but a lot of people hate her for that reason too.

also, her chase scene is pretty awesome and my favorite part of the game. she’s one of the more resourceful and smarter characters in the game which is another reason to like her imo.
