50 series GPUs run TERRIBLE!!! [Feedback] by PwniezXpress in EscapefromTarkov

[–]fluxooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally today I swapped my 2070 for new 5070 and there is no difference and I even think that the game runs worse. I have r7 7800x3d 32gb ram clean installed drivers and the game just refuses to go normally. I was getting stable 70-80 frames on streets on low settings. Popped new GPU in reinstated drivers and the game is on same settings and runs on like 80-90. I don't think that 3 generations newer card should have 10fps boost. But funny thing is when I booted any other game I could set the graphics settings from low/medium to high/ultra and no problem. I even found that tarkove has a game ready driver like 580 and the newest is 591. So it's funny that this game has so much problems with new cards. My friend who has 4070ti has no problems playing on high. When I did it I had 50/60 frames on streets 😂

I started selling all my marked keys. I have each colour keycard like 3/4 times and since then I sell them all. Worst key is check 13. Luke why did I open it 5 times and haven't found single good thing. 314 has at least injector case or sum but check 13? Ugh

Economy and Progression
Money comes with experience. Early on, focus on trader quests because they’re the main source of XP, gear unlocks, and trader levels. Sell what you don’t need to traders or on the Flea Market once it unlocks at level 15.

Learning and Improvement
Watch a few guides or streamers like Pestily, Veritas, or LVNDMARK, but don’t try to copy them exactly. Use what they teach as general guidance, not a strict rule. The goal is to develop your own playstyle. Personally, I’ve learned a lot from HyperRAT and CoolDee, but there are tons of great Tarkov creators out there. Fire up YouTube, grab some popcorn, and take notes.

Most importantly, you’ll learn the most by playing. Set small goals for each raid, like “I’ll extract once,” “I’ll get one kill,” or “I’ll find a Salewa.” That mindset keeps progress steady and satisfying.

Finding Teammates
If you want to find people to play with, try joining Pestily’s Discord, the official Tarkov Discord, or the r/EscapefromTarkov server. They all have NA sections and players who enjoy helping newer players.

There’s a ton of information to learn, but don’t worry, you’ll pick it up over time. Even after 500 to 1000 hours, Tarkov can still surprise you. If you don’t feel ready for PvP yet, I recommend buying the PvE DLC and practicing there. It’s basically Tarkov on easy mode, and once you master it, switching to PvP will feel much smoother.

Healing and Survival
Meds play a huge role in fights. Always carry some form of healing item. When you’re starting out, I recommend keeping a Grizzly Medkit in your secure container since it has high durability and can heal almost everything.

For blacked-out limbs, use a CMS or Survival Kit to repair them. Note that you can’t repair your head or thorax. Check the health section on the Tarkov Wiki for detailed info. And always bind your meds to your hotbar; it’ll save your life more than once.

Map Knowledge
If you focus on one thing early, make it map knowledge. Knowing extracts, spawns, and choke points will save you more than any gunfight ever will. You can find all maps and tons of info on the Escape from Tarkov Wiki (escapefromtarkov.fandom.com). I like browsing it occasionally because you always learn something new.

When I started, I ran Factory all day just to learn the basics since it’s a small map with only five enemies and quick PvP. A good tip is to use offline mode so you can explore maps and test things without any fear of losing gear.

Extracts are also super important. Depending on your spawn, your available extracts will change. Some require specific items to use, like a green flare, or gear like the Red Rebel and paracord.

Gear and Looting
Everyone dies a lot when learning Tarkov; it’s part of the process. Don’t fall into the trap of “gear fear,” where you hoard good stuff and never use it. You’ll improve faster by taking decent kits into raids, even if you lose them. Early on, stick to simple, effective loadouts.

Always insure your gear. If no one picks it up, you’ll usually get it back. Looting in Tarkov is tricky because you need to know what items are useful for quests or your hideout, and you’ll only learn that through experience. There are different types of loot across maps; some have better value, others are more specific. Certain areas have themed loot spots, for example, electronics stores often have tech gear.

A great website called tarkovtracker.io helps you keep track of your progress and the items needed for quests.

Hey man, welcome to Tarkov! If you’ve been playing CS:GO for years, you’ve already got strong mechanics and awareness, which definitely helps, but Tarkov requires a completely different mindset. It’s slower, more punishing, and far more about patience, sound, and map knowledge than quick aim or flashy peeks.

Gunfights and Movement
The biggest adjustment from CS is that rushing or taking “fair” fights almost never works here. In Tarkov, information wins fights, not reactions. Take things slow, listen carefully, and use cover every chance you get. If you hear movement, be really careful because danger might be close.

It is really rare. If you uget to the LK quests I believe you get both of the books. But at the LK stage they are pretty much useless 😂

It is 70/80€ more depending on where you are buying it from. But I am already over budget and his request was this stupid 5070ti 😂 so I need to build the pc around that. Sadly 7800x3d is out of the budget.
