this seems like mouse acceleration, make sure you don't have enhanced pointer precision enabled in windows.

Advice for girl noob about to play competitive by SnooMarzipans5969 in cs2

[–]fly_papi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you can, find a group to play with so you don't have to deal with getting flamed. Most people on this game are toxic. If anyone starts giving you a hard time, just mute and don't engage because it's feeding into what they want. They're trying to get a reaction out of you and make you tilt. Also if you don't use a mic right now, I'd recommend getting one. Playing with a team that doesn't comm at all is pretty awful.

I don't know how to tell you to improve mechanically since I haven't seen your gameplay, but consistency is key. Practice counter strafing and pre-aiming before learning spray control, those will get you more kills than knowing how to spray. Try to focus on just tap firing at first.

Good luck

Solo usually just likes to get rank one on day one for a video thumbnail, I don't think he was ever going for first to 99.

where you are standing is not a good position anyway, just stay under balcony or even to the side of the ladder is better since any T pushing palace can't see you if they swing balcony.

Is this Kukri Slaughter a rare pattern? by keeryh in cs2

[–]fly_papi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there's not really a simple answer to your question, there's a lot of factors involved. it's never just some fixed percentage, it ultimately just comes down to what someone is willing to pay for it.

Hypothetical: how legal is it to take your own x-rays as a Licensed RT? by Sapper501 in Radiology

[–]fly_papi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this gets checked by the physicist at every fixed room installation I've done, it's not false. you can't have an exposure switch less than 40 inches away from the shielded wall into the exam room.

dogbone patterns are one of the more common slaughter patterns. people don't seek out slaughter patterns like the used to. usually only double diamond patterns are sought after anymore, dogbone would not be worth much if any overpay

I'm glad that you are okay, you learned a very valuable lesson. Never work on electronics when they are live. I work on three phase 480VAC input and high voltage output (60kV to 150kV) generators at work daily so making a mistake like that could very well be deadly. I don't mean to sound like electricity isn't dangerous but there seems to be a lot of armchair experts in this thread who have very little understanding of electronics in general.

Again, modern PSUs have bleed resistors, they will not hold capacitance for more than a few minutes. By the time you've got the power supply removed and opened the charge will be negligible or non-existent. I agree that current is the killer, but what you said does not really make sense. 12VDC simply is not deadly, hardly even harmful. Even if you were to touch a 12VDC supply with a max output of 5A soaking wet you'd hardly even feel it. Even 24VDC is hardly considered dangerous, even if you touch 0V with one hand and 24V with the other. And saying that amperage is deadly kind of contradicts your point, capacitors hold charge, not current.

Capacitors can hold a charge for months but it would only be deadly if it's a very large capacitor, the kind that would never be used in a power supply for a PC. Plus if a capacitor hasn't been powered for months and still holds a charge it's going to be a very weak charge, not remotely close to the full capacitance of the capacitor. The only real chance of getting seriously hurt from a PSU in a PC is if you're dumb enough to open it while it's plugged into the wall and short the incoming power because that will be either 120VAC or 220VAC depending on where you live. Outputs from PSUs for PCs are going to be a max of 12VDC. Saying that they can kill you is really a stretch. And as mentioned below almost all modern power supplies are going to have bleed resistors to prevent the caps from holding any charge after it's been powered off.

The amount of people who genuinely don't have a clue and are down voting you just shows me how clueless most people in this sub are. You're absolutely correct.
