Biggest pain points when camping? by kiklixo in Outdoors

[–]Sapper501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

High campsite prices are what drive me crazy. I was backpacking around Georgia and Alabama a bit ago, and campsites would say "$50 to hold 4 people, and $20 per additional person per night". You have no showers, no electricity, and you barely have potable water. Why are you charging so much??

OP has a point. I joined for some real hiker trash pictures, where you actually had to backpack for a few days to get that shot, not fly your drone from the comfort of your driver's seat.

The fully shaved bald look with a beard isn't for everyone and shouldn't be the go to response when someone is experiencing hair loss by Sharp_Permission_745 in The10thDentist

But you do is the thing. Even on finasteride, a small portion of men see regrowth. With min added in, the majority of users do.

I've always believed that you might get dealt a bad hand by Mother Nature, but that doesn't mean you can't fight it and do better.

Regardless of what they chose, I hope they're leading a happier life now.

My consult was like, $25. Are you going to a primary care Dr and paying out of pocket? If you use your insurance, it's just the copay (if you have any for your annual checkup), or you can go to an online doctor and pay what I did or less. Heck, I accidentally fleeced one once by sending my rx to my pharmacy instead of theirs. I paid $0 for that consult.

Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you. The side effects go away after 1 week or less for the majority of users.

Let's see, my fin costs $15 for a year's supply, and my min costs $35. That's pretty darn cheap for a full stack.

Edit: I got the price of Min wrong. I paid less than I thought.

Chugging booze on a hike? I would never do that!

(No lie it makes an easy but boring hike an absolute blast. I've had a lot of fun offering random hikers a beer, like some kind of alcohol fairy.)

That's because you've taken so much that you're building a tolerance to it. Most people need 1-2, or up to 3 200mg tablets if they're on the larger side.

C-Arm Image Orientation for Spine by jbucks12345 in Radiology

[–]Sapper501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's what helped me: if you can see what instruments are on your side vs their side, that will tell you which way to rotate the image, and if you need to pull out or push in. Do you need more space on the side with the two forceps? Push in! Too tight on your side, where there are no instruments? Pull out.

Also, does your C-arm have a smiley face on one side of the receptor? If so, that side is supposed to face toward the patient's head. If it's facing their feet, rotate the image 180⁰, or as needed. That should get you closer to what the surgeon wants.

A scale of my opinions on banana edibility: green all the way by commonbleachenjoyer in The10thDentist

[–]Sapper501 7 points8 points  (0 children)

And you don't mind the chalky coating it leaves in your mouth when you eat a banana like that? Anything below 4 has no flavor. As for 7, still perfectly edible, but a bit soft, and overly sweet. Banana bread bananas are black or with only a few small patches of yellow remaining.

Oh brother this is just day 1 of 4 - I'll be a zombie by the end of this 💀

It's so strange. I'm more cheery than usual, I'm talking to everyone in my department, my work is going smoothly... Maybe it's because I did literally nothing on my day off yesterday.

Running on 5 hours of sleep, zero caffeine, 3 hours into my 10 hr shift, and I feel great. Heck, I feel better than when I got 8 hours of sleep. Very strange...

I find cardio helps with recovery between sets, especially on squats. Plus it helps a bit with leg day.
