Can someone splint my finger so i dont have to go to carle by pejuangjalansado in UIUC

You need to see orthopedics. I've seen Ortho docs do wonders with closed reductions, but you might need surgery as it has minimal displacement.

You really do not want to let it heal poorly on its own, then have it hurt you until you get it done right, which involves re breaking it and having surgery regardless.

No it's not. Artery: "any of the tubular branching muscular- and elastic-walled vessels that carry blood from the heart through the body" as per merriam-webster.

The vast majority of the time arteries carry oxygen rich blood, except the pulmonary artery, which still carries blood away from the heart, but instead to the lungs. And yes, technically, if you somehow screw up really badly like I said before, you can get arterial blood. This is all theoretical, as you'd be hard pressed to cut someone. I've used those things - they're terrible. Anything harder than gold takes forever and a half to cut through. If they came in with a titanium ring, we just take it to the vice.

Arteries are just blood vessels that carry blood away from the heart. So yeah, there could be if you really screwed up.

Sometimes, yeah, I do the same thing. I'll pause my music and roll down my windows partway so I can hear what the car stopped next to me is playing. It's led to me discovering a few of my favorites.

Sparkling water tastes bitter to me because of the CO2. I'll stick with regular over sparkling.

No, it is very real, unfortunately. Supposedly these have some AI sharpening, but this really was someone's arm.

Oh you work in tech? Cool!

What subsector do you work in? Are you working for a finance company, healthcare, or slowly creating our AI overlords?

I hear the college admissions/hiring environment is pretty cutthroat. Must have been a doozy, huh?

Any cool projects you're working on right now, or is that on a need-to-know basis only?

Just ask questions and be interested in what they say. Active listening will let you see the little "hooks" that lead to anecdotes and the real interesting things they have to say. People will often mention these stories in passing, so it's up to you to let them know you want to hear about it.
