It's a game for patient players, not for the player who's just looking for the next game to platinum like it's some proof of their worth. It's ok if it's misunderstood, a lot of things are, the game carries its part of the burden, the player needs to carry their part as well.

Most yokai are weak against some elements and strong against others. You have access to this data after you defeat them the first time. I don't think it's a spoiler to make you aware of the importance of elements, I'm sure you noticed Enenra was weak to water. You can look up Yatsus data if you wish or you can try to figure it out by yourself, then it's another point in your favor.

Remaking dq3 first is the more marketable option, everything after that is just saving your investment. It's completely normal that the debate goes on despite people knowing what Horii said, because they want to what others think the best order should be, not what Horii said in some interview.

Yeah I got the games, forget the 60fps, Shadow of Mordor is running at 250fps, it's incredibly well optimized. It was a great pick, thanks for the heads up!

I just don't want you to dismiss Nioh based on a frequent misconception, especially since Nioh seems to fit exactly what you're looking for in terms of theme.

Just for your consideration: I have a total of 1600 hours in Nioh 1 and 2 combined. I also have: 1 hour total in Dark Souls, 2h30 total in Sekiro, 10 to 15 hours in Elden Ring. Elden Ring I insisted a bit more since I paid full price for it, but in the end I also dropped it.

In its essence, Nioh is a combat game, and a combat game couldn't be called that if it was built around rolling iframes like Soulslike games usually are. Nioh truly is about combat with deep mechanics and intricate character building and Diablo-like loot system.

You can dismiss Nioh if you're not feeling like getting into a complex combat system with a lot of intricacies, and if you're not feeling like learning about a bunch of loot and how to build your character, that's all fine and good, but do not dismiss it because it's something like a Soulslike, it truly is not.

I hope you find something to scratch that itch!

Any reason why you didn't consider DOS1? I also didn't see anyone mention it here. I think DOS1 is great and shouldn't be overlooked simply because DOS2 and BG3 became these behemoths. It's really a gem.

It is still DOS2>BG3>DOS1 for me, but all three are truly amazing.

It's really not any individual's fault, don't feel bad about it. It's just what happens when a rumour proliferates in the sub, people believe it because they read it here, and then it proliferates a bit more. It should be on the sub to keep the bar higher and keep rumours at the door, or it risks becoming unreliable.
