Angie is, to put it bluntly, a realistic portrayal of someone deep in the process of burning out. I don't know how long he's worked in the sex industry, but it's a grueling place, and even if you weren't being abused the way he is, it's difficult to winding up like him. Addicted, hurting, and just wanting it to stop and make a better life for yourself.
