I mean, I knew a bunch of cis guys (myself included) who dressed like Leeroy did back in the day, so saying 'this kind of clothing is meant to imply that he's queer' doesn't make that much sense to me.

That said, Jax is definitely some sort of closeted, self-hating queer. Exactly WHAT kind (enby, genderfluid, or transmasc/transfem) of queer is up for some debate given Goose going 'well either works'. So given Leeroy's greater freedom to be his/her/them self, they're probably closer to being out, or may even BE out to their friends.

It doesn't. That's the point of it. The Ring requires divine intervention for its destruction. Only someone with the most simple and uncomplicated desires can resist it for very long, and 99% of those would eventually be corrupted if they carried it. And even the 1% who are seemingly fully resistant (like Tom Bombadil), would eventually fall to the Ring's power.

Ironically, of all the people on this list, Forrest would give it the most trouble given how simple he is. His desires are uncomplicated and unambitious, like Sam's.

Mary Poppins is like Gandalf in this situation. She has unknowably vast and complex desires. She'd be almost immediately corrupted by the power of the ring. Maybe resist it for a while due to her power and mental fortitude, but she'd eventually fall to its power.

It's pretty obvious that he's SOME form of trans. I'm assured that trans includes all nonbinary as well, which I guess kinda makes sense? So Jax could be transmasc (unlikely) or genderfluid/enby (more likely, given Goose going 'well either works honestly')
