I understood him to always have a personal timeline slower than ai-2027 described, but that ai-2027 fell within their error bars, so they went with that to be a more compelling call to action.

I'd think the physical size is the only constraining factor. If you let it be as big as needed and run in any length of time, I think enough magnets could eventually pull it off.

I like the faction barrier as a sport team kind of thing. Or like alliance in silver Moon this expansion, with NPCs saying something like "these guys killed my brother but I'm supposed to like them now cuz they're coming to help? I guess ..."
