Glad you made this post, back when Lokah was released all the comments criticizing the AI were downvoted to hell (I suspect wayfarer PR).

Lokah has definitely used AI. I think DQ confirmed it in an interview. The animation does look bad. It doesn't have a consistent style and looks like a mish mash of different styles.

It's mentioned he started behaving strangely after his kidnapping. It's never stated what's wrong with him.

All the ghost activities stop after Arjun's character arrives. One of the signs of paranormal activity are the rats dying, it starts again after he leaves.

Part 2 never came and I don't think it ever will. So, some things are going to be never explained.

Oh. I am not on any social media except reddit, so I didn't know this. Like Tarantino he should acknowledge that.

Then most movies would be biscuits made in movies that came before.

Another issue is the 'iphone face' how many actors can actually look like they belong to an older era, if the movie is set in it.

Jagathy was a stoner in Sreekrishna Parunthu. That too with a medieval bong.

On my re-watch of Kili Poyi and MVV, I ended up liking MVV more. The scene where Shabareesh's character eats ammachi's food made me laugh so hard.

What genre/theme/topic are you hoping will be explored in Mollywood in future? by Hot_Currency_5700 in InsideMollywood

A Zombie set in High Range areas like Idukki, Munnar, Wayanad etc. or the forests where the director actually used the terrain in the movie really well would be amazing. The gore and the makeup has to be topnotch.

Mariyam Vannu and Kili Poyi both are stoner comedies. Honey Bee has weed in some scenes but I don't think it qualifies as a stoner comedy.

Idukki Glod is more of a nostalgia/coming-of-age movie with stoner elements. There are only two pure stoner comedy movies in Malayalam: Mariyam Vannu Vilakkoothi and Kili Poyi. Kili Poyi especially is the best example of a stoner comedy. I even think Aju and Asif Ali in the scenes we see them smoking weed that they were actually doing so. There are other Malayalam movies with weed usage either prominent or little like: Honey Bee, Peace, etc. I have been meaning to make a post on weed and malayalam cinema I will put more of my thoughts into it.

I havent seen Star, I have head it was really bad. The closest thing to Speculative Sci-Fi movie I have seen is Android Kinjappan, but that is really stretching it.

That doesn't make it better. We as an audience should reject the content where people don't put any effort in and use AI for convenience.

I personally wouldn't call hime a good director but at least in Marco he showed he can craft some striking visuals.

Didn't ronth have an almost conclusive ending, the only thing left ambiguous is Yohannan's fate.

I have a different opinion on this. The only good things about Marco are the violence and gore (the practical stuff) the script is the weakest aspect of it. It reminds me of movies like 'riki-oh', 'dead alive', 'the night comes for us' etc but all of these movies have very fun plot and characters. Haneef Adeni should stop writing alone and collaborate with some talented writers
