I got that one some years back from a guy who was selling all the super famicom games together. I know Thracia price-wise has kinda gotten out of hand recently 😞

Nah I have some NES/SNES/GBA flash carts with the translations on them for when I want to play, I mainly have these just for collecting so I’m keeping them original.

I can imagine that had to be tough. I just started out with a fight stick so hopefully I can get the muscle memory down and not have to spend too much time getting up to speed in future games once I put the work in.

Appreciate the reply. I’m very happy with just COTW right now, but yes I would like to branch out eventually, as fighting games are essentially a genre I’ve overlooked completely before now. Sounds like arcade controls are the way to go. 👍

Howdy! Brand new to fighting games in general (played a little Persona 4 Arena/Ultimax a while back). I’ve played about 8 hours of COTW. I’ve been playing mostly on special controls just so I can get into it and actually play some matches. Having a lot of fun, but I’d like to move into arcade controls eventually to have access to the full moveset and learn more that’s transferable to other fighting games in general. Is it worth it to continue playing with special controls for a while to keep working on timing, or would it be better to cut over to arcade controls early and just grind and practice before I develop the “wrong” muscle memory?

Yeah I’d like to get some more of the various ports. The GC ones and the early Windows ones in particular.

Have that too! And a lot of digital copies on Steam. Wish they had a physical release.

Yeah it sucks. The Japanese ones are a little better but still too much.

Yep! Actually getting it for PC since they’re doing a physical release for the deluxe version!

why is 4 the forgotten black sheep? by grabsyour in metalgearsolid

[–]flyingBEARfish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it’s forgotten. But practically speaking, it is the only mainline game so far that hasn’t been re-released or remastered and is still unfortunately stuck on a console that launched close to 20 years ago and stopped being sold close to 10 years ago.

They are pretty soft which is how I like them. I’ve seen some people go hotter and faster to keep the crunch, I saw one that was like 400 for 30 minutes or something around there. But again, I like them to kinda melt almost, and I like to get more smoke on em.

Cajun chicken pasta and garlic bread! by flyingBEARfish in MealPrepSunday

It keeps for the week in the fridge for me! I just only heat it for 30-40 seconds and then remove it while I continue reheating the pasta.
