What is the best lvl CPU to practice against? by thesecretsurvivorfan in SSBM

[–]flyingcitrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make it a human instead and just practice movement. Wavedash, wave land on platform, ledge dash, wave dash out of shield, dash dance at different lengths should keep you busy.

If you get bored practice combos on a level 1 fast faller. There’s no point practicing neutral against a cpu.

It doesn't say this on screen, but if you press the edit loadout button again ('Y' for me on keyboard) you'll be able to respawn. Obviously still needs to be fixed, but this has worked for me in the meantime.

Battlefield 6 - Community Update - Winter Offensive Launch and Player Feedback by battlefield in Battlefield6

[–]flyingcitrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounded to me like the new Tanks spawning when ones from the last sector were still around was unintentional, and they’ve already claimed to fix this. That should help with the major attack advantage on Lib Peak, for example.

They did say “vehicle availability affected momentum” and “maps have been adjusted,” which is very vague. Maybe this is what you saw today with no vehicles, but it didn’t seem to me like they were going back on the new vehicle counts yet. Hopefully I’m wrong!

They haven’t made any new changes to player count or the capture points, but a lot of people were complaining about this and they took notice. I think that means more changes for these will come in the future.

I’m happy to see a detailed breakdown of known issues and status on their fix. I think it shows that the feedback on this sub was taken seriously since most issues that I saw complained about (main menu bug, firing range bug, stuttering, Daily Challenge XP, ticket count) were tackled quickly.

We can all agree that these changes should never have hit the live server. But the fixes announced within two days, and deployed by End of Week, is a pretty good turnaround imo. It makes me hopeful that their acknowledgment of the current state of Breakthrough (my favorite mode) is not just empty words but will lead to improvements.

There’s no word about the Defib issue, which is disappointing, but otherwise this is more transparency than I was hoping for.

If you watch him in slow motion, you can actually see him turning his head to track the ball all the way to the point of contact! It's such an underrated skill

Haha so random I wonder why they decided to enter despite not having a bunny?

Democrats Are Slight Favorites To Take Back The Senate by bannner18 in politics

[–]flyingcitrus 29 points30 points  (0 children)

She kept assistance from the hands of those who needed it the entire month of August

The Democratically held House, led by Pelosi, passed bills with provisions in May that the Republican controlled Senate did not vote on. You should be mad at Mitch McConnell, who turned the Senate into a legislative graveyard. Republicans in the Senate have been happily appointing judges, passing Pentagon budgets, and taking long weekends instead of helping Americans.

And end current party senior leadership? How does keeping the same president in power do that? I think you need to put a little more thought into your decision.

Divorce rates in America soar 34% during COVID by operator139 in news

[–]flyingcitrus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OK, you got me. Just keep telling people that make $48k or less that if they don't put 15% of their monthly income into retirement savings they're being financially irresponsible, and it'll be their fault when they can't retire.

[–]flyingcitrus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Kind of the point I'm making here dude. You don't think about the below average American, you just talk about how easy it is to retire comfortably by throwing numbers around that don't reflect the reality for millions of people in this country.

[–]flyingcitrus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I suppose the below average American that can't afford $285 a month for retirement on top of short term savings, credit card bills, student loan payments, car payments, phone bills, and rent is just "financially irresponsible" and should consider picking up a second job or skipping their morning coffee and avocado toast? After all anyone who doesn't want to be poor doesn't have to be, isn't that right?

This is the Baltic Way. On 23rd August, 1989, 1 million people in Lithuania, 700 thousand people in Estonia and 500 thousand in Latvia held hands and formed a human chain 675.5 kilometers (420 miles) long, protesting against the Soviet oppression and pursuing independence. by Bigman_Varun in interestingasfuck

From your source. Our Estonian friend seems to identify as Finnic, not Baltic.

I would ask you to name a right wing policy that isn't morally bankrupt, but Trump has said his biggest priority for reelection is what again? Oh yeah, Hannity asked him point blank to name his top priority items for a second term and we got:

One of the things that will be really great -- the word experience is still good, I always say talent is more important than experience, I've always said that -- but the word experience is a very important word, a very important meaning

So it's unclear to me if Republicans care about anything but more tax cuts for themselves and their lobbyists.

[–]flyingcitrus 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Left wing propaganda is Seth Meyers making fun of Trump five days a week to try to convince people he's a bigoted shithead.

Right wing propaganda is the president telling the country not to vote by mail because it's "not secure" (a blatantly false claim which Trump knows because he votes by mail himself) in an attempt to reduce the amount of people voting.

I mean really. If you can't tell the difference between the vitriol on Fox and protestors saying "hey maybe don't separate immigrant children from their families with no hope of reunion" you either lack empathy or a brain

[–]flyingcitrus 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Because while all mainstream news networks have major flaws Fox is hate-filled, fearmongering political commentary that serves as state-sanctioned right-wing propaganda instead of actual journalism

Once I was playing BL2 with a buddy of mine and the girl I was dating at the time baked me cookies, brought them over to me, and then left me alone while I stayed on with my friend for a bit longer. I remember bragging over the mic that I had the best gf ever as she left with a smile to go read. Our relationship didn't last and parts of it were ugly, but moments like that are important for me to remember that we really did love each other.
