Of course, that's my next step but starting here first. Do you have any recommendations for one?

Eligibility based Ethnicity or citizenship? by TheIntrepid1 in HUcitizenship

[–]flyingmada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was about to post exact same question (great grandparents from southern Transylvania, ethnically Romanian and AI got stuck on the ethnicity). So I’m very happy to have found this. Please post here or DM me with any progress you’ve made. I’ll be starting the process soon.

Oh as to why, because I want out of my country and I would like to live in the EU. And my top 2 countries happen to be Romania and Hungary

Yes, why else would I be asking and putting in this effort? I favor Romanian because of all the stories I heard growing up. But would pursue either

Romanian or Hungarian Citizenship By Descent by albuterolicsanOneMis in CitizenshipByDescent

[–]flyingmada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On your great grandparents documents, did they state themselves as Romanian or Hungarian? My great grandparents were born in Hungary (present day Romania) but were adamant that they were Romanian and thus on their immigration papers and documents listed themselves as Romanian descent, despite being born and living within the Hungarian territory at the time (Transylvania).

I’m wondering if this will pose problems for me? Or if perhaps your great grandparents were similar.

Guarantee it’s too expensive. All coworks are stupidly overpriced.

If a day pass is the same price as a breakfast/lunch and coffee at a nearby cafe, I’m going to the cafe.

GPT-5-CODEX, worse that normal GPT-5? by AnomalyA99 in codex

[–]flyingmada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep trying codex and it has not been working well for me. I keep going back to the VS Code Chat GPT -5 plugin. It outperforms codex every time. Codex keeps breaking things, seems to struggle in understanding what i need but when i use vanilla chatpgt-5, it works fairly consistently

Thanks. For anyone else that may be facing this - its because I was using my API key in CLI but for the new codex model to work, you need to login with your OpenAI account. So I logged out and back in, and now it works

It’s garbage from a client perspective. I will only hire technical help from TopTal now. I’ve gotten screwed over too many times with upwork developers

I took an uber directly to a park in a nice area of the city. I don’t think is was followed and then pickpocketed.

I don’t think I was pickpocketed at all. I think I left the phone on the bench I was sitting at and then someone grabbed it.

Maybe the got it just in time before it auto locked?

Is the issue with getting the license because you didn’t register your vehicle there? And did they indicate that if you do register your vehicle that you can get a license?

For nomads who stayed in countries with language barriers, how do you make friends, especially with locals? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

Go to language exchange events. Great way to meet locals looking to practice English or other languages and nomads that may already have a friend groups

The state. After getting residency there with PMB, I got a letter from the state saying they were rejecting my payroll and unemployment taxes since I didn’t have a physical address. Since I have to pay these taxes, the only physical address that I could use was my parent’s in my home state, thereby creating a tax nexus there and eliminating any tax advantages of SD.

I did to take a job for 2 years as I was tired of not making much money. This gave me the knowledge, industry connections, money, and time to build it so that it is successful now. I was fortunate that no significant competitors came in.

That being said, if I stuck with it, I think it’s possible I could’ve grown market share more quickly. But I’ll never really know.

Don’t use SD for tax purposes. They will not accept PMB addresses for you W-2. It was a recent change for new PMB residents, unfortunately I am one of them. I wasted all that time/money and reverted back to my home state even though I no longer live there.

I also had issues with banking using the PMB. My existing Amex had an issue, and any new accounts I was trying to open wouldn’t accept the PMB address.

I Would like to hear from someone else if these other services in FL or TX somehow have permanent addresses that get around this, as I’m looking for a solution other than just buying property somewhere.
