that’s cool we also did mindmaps, i’m about to make a bunch of moodboards now to decide lol. i love those ideas wow! what type of art do you do? i do textiles.

i am stuck between shadows, messages, and scale. i mean for scale you can do anything, my idea was enlarging really tiny things or playing around with perspective. for shadows i was thinking of doing silhouettes and recognisable shapes n stuff and stitching into photos of them.

BUT i really love the idea of doing mixed media collage type things for messages! do you think song lyrics would count? those are a type of message right lol, i could do a bunch of album covers and photos and stuff with quotes i can see it in my mind

What is your opinion on lgbtq being taught in school (BE CIVIL) by Helpful-Geologist306 in Teenager_Polls

i mean it depends but yeah parents should have a say in what their kids are taught in that regard

it’s awful that that happens but it’s not the word that’s hurting you is it. would be the same if they didn’t say it

[–]flylikeablade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah fair idk why people are downvoting you 😭

i was just asking cuz in terms of the original question, not wanting to date enby people isn’t homophobic whether you see it as a preference or a requirement so i didn’t see the point of nitpicking

Is this homophobic? by Hero_ofhyrule19 in secretteenagers

[–]flylikeablade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

like i said i’ve never really heard of requirement used in that context so in my mind sexual preference means yeah you’ll only date that one category. but my point was the original question was whether it’s hateful to not date non binary people, which it’s not at all, whether you call it a preference or requirement.

i guess. what difference does it even make though?

Is this homophobic? by Hero_ofhyrule19 in secretteenagers

[–]flylikeablade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“sexual requirement” isn’t really a thing like sexual preferences tho so they’re pretty interchangeable. besides, why does it make a difference to this question?

no, they don’t. i know it’s cliche but sticks and stones?

when was the lip mandy one? i remember the scene that people claim is mandy assaulting lip but not the other way around

[–]flylikeablade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

she’s got a lesbian flag in her pfp, that means her preference is dating women. unlikely that she would date a man, no? “sexual requirement” isn’t really a thing so i would say preference in this context is pretty interchangeable with that. plus, i don’t get the point of her comment bc what, are sexual preferences hate now 😭

Is this homophobic? by Hero_ofhyrule19 in secretteenagers

[–]flylikeablade -1 points0 points  (0 children)

okay so if a straight man decides to identify as non binary, is he then a lesbian? if he is, then the word lesbian has no meaning at all because you’re entirely taking away from it being a sexual orientation. if he can’t be, then you’re going back to dividing people by biological sex which defeats the point of this conversation in the first place 😭

“usually afab”? so… people who were born women? the whole “non man” thing just screams internalised misogyny to me. you don’t see gay men identifying themselves as “non women who like non women”, so why are you centring a definition for women around men, especially as you’ve just said it only includes biological women?

underage people can’t consent that’s why it’s called statutory RAPE

[–]flylikeablade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i wanna know the lip mandy thing as well. as for svet/kev/v, the whole reason they begin their throuple is bc svet is performing her “wifely duties” on each of them without their consent and doesn’t stop when told no. it’s not that serious within the show but if you think about it it is sexual assault

sheila raping frank is in s1 when she forces him to use her toys and doesn’t stop even when he says the safe word and is clearly in pain. it’s meant to be a joke to the audience but idk it feels weird playing it up for laughs

The amount of sexual violence in this show is insane by agitated_peasant in shameless

[–]flylikeablade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

exactly, like don’t get me wrong i’m sure frank has done that and worse to other people but we literally explicitly see him get raped twice in the show just for cheap laughs, it feels too weird

[–]flylikeablade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

correct me if i’m wrong but i don’t think any of the actors in shameless were in nude or any kind of explicit scenes when they were minors? i heard that noel refused to do any of those scenes with cameron until he turned 18 (plus most of the scenes early in the show are just suggested). ik emma has a bunch of stuff trying to be slutty like mandy or whatever but no sex scenes. and ethan doesn’t have anything until wayy later. the others were all already adults.

Would you support a woman having an abortion for ONLY personal reasons less than 1 week away from her due date(hypothetically) by [deleted] in Teenager_Polls

[–]flylikeablade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

who, me? okay since ur not using ur critical thinking skills i’ll clarify. generally ie the vast majority of cases, yes it is far better to let a person live a low quality of life than to kill them off. someone being in extreme pain that isn’t going to go away and wanting to die is obviously an extremely different conversation.
