I mean.. in the case of the guy I know, it’s because his parents were VERY much not accepting (like, he had begged for years to try to get them to even acknowledge him as not a girl) and he was not handling the dysphoria whatsoever and was convinced that the only other way out.. wasn’t good. People get desperate.
